Natasha and Tony were back at the Avengers Compound, they just came back from the hospital where Rhodey was treated. "The doctors say he shattered L4 through S1." Tony informed the woman next to him, "Extreme laceration to the spinal cord. Probably looking at some form of paralysis." Stark added, not really looking at Natasha the whole time.
They were standing on a balcony, looking at the forest near the Compound. It was actually a pretty view, they just couldn't enjoy it right now. "Steve's not gonna stop." Natasha stated, her arms crossed infront of her chest. "If you don't either, Rhodey's gonna be the best case scenario."
"You let them go, Nat."
"We played this wrong." Natasha said as she looked at Tony.
"'We'? Boy, it must be hard to shake the whole double agent thing, huh?" he looked at Natasha for the first time, "It sticks in the DNA." he added. Natasha was surprised by his words, she didn't expect him to be that harsh.
Tony might feel like Natasha betrayed him but she didn't. She always tried to see both sides and this time she understood Steve and Bucky so she helped them, it wasn't betrayal. It simply was the right thing to do. All she wanted was to keep the team together, she didn't deserve to be treated like they couldn't trust her, not by her own friends.
"Are you incapable of letting go of your ego for one goddamn second?" Natasha asked, doing her best to keep control of herself. If Costia was here right now she would probably yell and Tony for the "It sticks in the DNA." part. Tony knew better than to say that, he knew how hurtful it could be, didn't matter if he felt like Natasha betrayed him. But Costia wasn't here right now and Natasha didn't have the strength to defend herself further.
"T'Challa told Ross what you did, so... they're coming for you." Stark said, almost like he was happy about it.
"I'm not the one that need to watch their back." Natasha said slowly before she turned around and walked off rather quickly.

2016, Raft Prision (a few weeks later)
'Come on, Nat.' Natasha heard Steve say through her comms, 'We're heading to control room C. Join us when you took the guards in the corridor down.' he ordered. "Understood, Cap." the redhead said as she hit the last guy on his neck, causing him to fall to the ground unconscious.
She quickly made her way to the last door from the hallway, control room C. Natasha had hacked the prison shortly before they landed there so they knew their friends where in the last block.
Natasha stepped through the doors just in time to see Steve take down the last man. He nodded towards the door, "It's passcode secured."
The redhead walkded over to it stepping over a few bodies and tipped in a code, without a noise the door opened. "I hacked it before." Natasha said as she saw Steves curious expression. "Let's go."
The lights in the room were out, just the ones in the cells were still on. All the lights had gone off when they broke into the prision, probably to give the guards an advantage.
The two started on the right, Natasha took care of Wandas cell while Steve went to Sam. Natasha was shocked by the state Wanda was in. When she opened the door Wanda didn't stand up, she didn't move at all from her position on the floor. She had a straitjacket on which didn't allow her to move her arms at all.
"Wanda, it's me. Natasha." she said while she laid a hand on Wandas shoulder, "You're safe now." she said comforting when Wanda looked up at her for the first time. A small smile formed on her lips.
