Jet
There was silence in the car, luckily it wasn't uncomfortable like the last time. Costia loved car rides in the dark, to watch the points of light in the distance and the cars passing by. It was comforting, somehow peaceful. It wasn't that much so now though, the pain from Costia's stomach had only encreased more.
"You know, this is the first piece of clothing I've ever bought for myself." Yelena said as she gestured at her west. Costia's eyes were almost closed when she looked at the girl through the rearview mirror. "That?" Natasha asked as she teared her eyes away from the road to look at it.
"Yeah. You don't like it?" Yelena answered a little offened. To be fair Natasha's answer really didn't sound too enthusiastic.
"Is that like a..." Natasha said while chewing her gum, she had given her wife one too. Chewing gum was supposed to relieve stress, the two both knew it wasn't true. It was still distracting them a little so it was fine. "Is it army surplus, or..."
"Okay, it has a lot of pockets." Yelena interrupted her loudly causing Natasha and Costia to chuckle. "But I use them all the time, and I made some of my own modifications." Yelena scoffed as she looked out of the car widow again, clearly annoyed by the two who were kind of making fun of her.
"Oh, yeah?" Natasha laughed.
"Whatever." Yelena mumbled. "Shut up. The point is, I've never..." She said, trying to find the right words to describe her situation. "I've never had control over my own life before, and now I do."
She looked back to the front. "I want to do things."
Costia understood her, she had felt the exact same way. She was just way to weak to say anything much right now.
"Hmm..." Costia hummed as she glanced at Yelena and her west again, it did look nice. It wasn't really something special, but still. "I like your west." Natasha smiled as she glanced at her sister again. She realised how important this was to her, it reminded her of Costia. Just that the first thing she bought when she escaped Hydra was a knife. But hey, the knife was still her favourite and she always had it in her shoe. Even now they were on the run she hadn't got rid of it.
"God." Yelena exclaimed. "I knew it. I knew you did. It's so cool, right?" She said as she put her fists in front of her chest, she was truely excited. Natasha nodded. "It's good. Yes. I like it." She smiled.
"And you can put so much stuff in there. You wouldn't even know." She said as she inspected the west again. She then looked back up, her mood had changed a little. "I really don't know where the Red Room is, though." She changed the topic. "Sorry."
"I know." Natasha said. "But I think I know somebody who does."
Costia glanced at her wife, she knew who she was talking about. The two had multiple conversations about Melina and Alexei. Natasha had told the blonde that Melina had died the day Yelena and her got to the Red Room but Alexei was still alive. They had searched for him and it didn't take long until they found a prison record of him, the fact that he was there gave Natasha a little peace.
"Oh, yeah? Who?" Yelena questioned.
"We're gonna need a jet." Natasha breathed out, glancing at the bag which was laying next to Yelena. Costia could tell she was exhausted, they both were. Not just because they didn't have enough sleep today but also because being on the run was the most draining thing ever.
"Mind handing me your phone?" Costia asked through the car mirror. Yelena looked at her.
"Why?" She asked but she still did what Costia had asked her to.
