Only Human
Steve, Sharon and Costia followed Sam in a room, Stark was already in there. The news were on.
A man spoke on the TV, "A bomb hidden in a news van ripped through the UN building in Vienna. More than 70 people have been injured. At least 12 are dead, including Wakandas King T'Chaka." he said while video footage of the explosion and the aftermath were shown.
Costias mind went straight to one person, "Natasha." she whispered when she watched the horrifying images on the screen. She couldn't be dead, could she? She was Natasha Romanoff, a bomb wouldn't take her out, right?
But at the end she's only human and not safe from an explosion. She also had an important role in the meeting so she probably sat in the front where most people were killed.
Costia felt her heart hammering in her chest, so many what if's in her head.
"Officials have released a video of a suspect who they have identified as James Buchanan Barnes, the Winter Soldier. The infamous Hydra agent linked to numerous acts of terrorism and political assassinations." the news man continued.
Costia sucked in a sharp breath as she looked away from the screen, Tony quickly turned the TV off when he saw Steves and Costias unhappy expressions. Bucky, Costias friend. She was certain he didn't do this willingly.
What if Hydra still existed and got him back, what if he was still controlled by them?
"I have to go to work." Sharon said quietly to Steve when she stepped next to him. Costia glanced over at her, she worked at the CIA now so she would be needed in Vienna.
"I need to get to Austria." Costia said, searching her pockets for her phone.
"That's a bad idea. Cos, everyone will just think that you're involved." Tony warned Costia, the blonde looked at the ground. It reminded her that she'll always be a part of Hydra, didn't matter how hard she tried to escape.
Stark followed Sharon out of the room, leaving Steve, Sam and Costia behind. They weren't the best mix at the time. Steve would do anything to get to Bucky and Sam would help him. Costia needed to make sure her fiancée was okay but then she would do all she could to find Bucky before the government did.
Costia finally found her phone, back pocket. She quickly dialled Natashas number, her hands were shaking while she did. It was rare that her hands shook, she learned early how to control it.
"I'm sure she is okay." Steve tried to comfort her, he wasn't good at it.
It rang a few times before someone picked up, "Hello?" a man said. It wasn't Natasha.
"Natasha?"
"Uh, no. Sorry I just found-"
The blonde quickly hung up the phone before she shared an anxious glance with Steve, "She's not dead. I would know." she tried to convince herself, "We are going to Vienna."

"What makes you think a Cap and a pair of glasses hide your whole identity? You are Captain America, everyone knows you." Costia asked Steve when the two walked closer to the building the bomb had exploded. Steve grabbed the phone from his pocket and dialled Natashas number.
"Obviously she didn't have her phone when I called so why would she now?" the blonde asked. Steve held up his hand, "You all right?" he asked the person he was calling. Steve nodded when he saw Costias hopeful smile.
She quickly grabbed the phone out of Steves hand and held it to her ear, 'Uh, yeah, thanks. I got lucky.' Natasha said on the phone, directed to Steve.
