Chapter 41

Hanna's POV

"Riker!" I screamed as I ran up to him. He was laying on a pool of blood, I didn't know what to do. "It will be ok, don't worry" I told him as I held his hand. Ross quickly took his phone out of his pocket and called an ambulance. Maddie was still shocked.

"Riker..!" A tear rolled down my cheek, I couldn't let him die. "I killed a person" whispered Maddie. "And he shot R-Riker" she continued. "Maddie pl-" tried Ross. "It's all my fault" she exclaimed, her eyes full of tears, like mine.

In that moment, the ambulance came, but they didn't come alone. The police was with them. "What happened here" asked one of the policemen. He saw Justin's dead body, Maddie with a gun and Riker who had been shot down.

That same policeman walked to Maddie, took the gun out of her hands and handcuffed her. "Wait! What are you doing?!" yelled Maddie. "You're arrested, girl!" said the policeman as he obligated Maddie to get in the police car.

"No! Maddie! Madison!" shouted Ross. "You can't arrest her!" yelled Ross to the policeman. "Oh come on, can't you see it?!" said the policeman sarcastically. "You're her boyfriend, right?" realized the other one. Ross nodded.

The ambulance took Riker to the hospital, I was going to. Ross was going to try and convince the police that Maddie was innocent, even though she had actually killed Justin, and killing someone is illegal.

We got into the hospital and they took Riker too a room I wasn't allowed to get in. I hoped he could survive. After some time, Ross cane to the waiting room. "They're not letting her go unless we pay a fine" explained him.

"Is it expensive?" I asked, my mind still focused on Riker. I looked at Ross and by his eyes, I could tell that the fine was expensive, and that he was worried about his brother. "We'll have to tell her parents, and Maddie's parents, everything" affirmed Ross.

I had totally forgot about Maddie's parents. Would they be worried about her? They didn't know that she was in jail, nor that she was pregnant. "When are they coming back?" I asked. "Were they gone?" Ross looked at me confused.

"Yes dude, they were on vacation" I informed. "Should I call them?" Ross looked unsure. "I think it's the best" I let him know. He walked outside, I guessed he was going to call them. We needed a high amount of money to pay Maddie's fine.

Ross came in again, with a serious, also worried, expression. "What did they tell you?" I asked losing my patience. "They're going to the police as soon as they arrive, today, and that they'll keep us informed" he explained.

"Any news about Riker?" He sat down next to me. "No, I've been waiting here for hours" I say. "You must be tired" I'm actually hella tired, but I won't admit it. "No, I'm okay" I lie. "You can go home if you want" he's a lie detector, gosh.

"I'm okay, really" I say trying to sound believable. At that moment, a doctor gets into the room and calls Mr. Lynch's family and friends. "Is he ok?" I ask, trying to not lose my nerves. He looks at me with a sad face.

Maddie's POV

I was inside one of the cells when I suddenly heard a woman's voice shout my name. "Madison!" It was my mother. "Momma!" I cried and hugged her between the bars. "we're gonna take you out of here" said my father. "How?" I asked surprised.

"Good news! We actually didn't go in vacation, we lied but, we were on a business trip. And thanks that everything went as I planned, we're rich now!" explained my father. "Madison?" said the policeman. "You're free"

I smiled and ran out of the cell when they had open it. "See you later, I have important stuff to do" I shouted while running towards the hospital. I really hoped Riker was ok, and I had also had to tell my parents about.. the baby. But all that mattered then, was Riker.
