Chapter 10

Ross' POV

Maddie was laying on the hospital bed, her eyes were still closed. I was getting more desperate every second that passed, as Maddie didn't seem like waking up.

I was holding her hand, I wanted to let her know that I'd always be there for her, to let her know that I would never let her go. The doctor entered to the room, he looked like a quite dumb person.

"Will she be okay?" I asked nervously. "Mr. Lynch?" He said as he saw me there, and maybe thought I wasn't allowed to be there. "Will she be okay?!" I repeated louder.

"I'm afraid that you will have to leave the room" the doctor added. "I asked you something!" I exclaimed raising my voice. "I'll call security if you don't calm down" he threatened me.

I got up and I was about to punch him when I felt someone take my hand. "It isn't his fault Ross" whispered Maddie. "Maddie!" I hugged her tightly, trying to not let happy tears roll down my cheek as I didn't want to look sensitive.

"I love romantic scenes," started the doctor "but would you let me be alone with Madison Lynch?" Maddie giggled. "Her last name isn't Lynch" I said. "Yet" she looked at me and chuckled. "Please leave the room" the doctor insisted.

"Please, don't make this more difficult" the doctor added. "Explain me wh-" I was cut off by Maddie. "I'll be ok, Ross. I'll be with you as soon as I can" she affirmed.

"Be careful, babe. And you doctor, suck my ass" I pushed him aside as I walked to the door and left. I sat down at the waiting room and grabbed some newspapers to read. I left them on the table when I saw Hanna and Riker coming.

"How's Maddie?" asked Hanna worriedly. "Don't worry, she woke up a few minutes ago. Therefore, she's alive" I was joking when I said the last part. Hanna glanced mad at me, but then laughed.

"Thank god" she said. "What did you do to the doctor?" Riker exclaimed. "Huh?" I didn't know what he was talking about.
"He's looking at you with a angry motherfucker face" he informed.

"Well.. I said... I told him to suck my ass" I explained. Riker glared at me with a confused yet angry face, similar to the doctor's one. "He wanted to call security!" I defended myself. "Oh god" Riker let out.

"I'm leaving, call me if you get any news" I was sick of being scolded by everyone. And I also hated hospitals, they brought me bad memories, but I didn't feel prepared to talk about that.

I ran to the mountains, to the same place Maddie and I had been laying the night before. Then I realized, her parents didn't know anything about her. They would probably be worried. I got my phone and called them to explain them what happened.

Maddie had given me their numbers so I had them on my contacts list. "Hello?" a man answered. "Hi, this is Ross" I introduced myself. "Ross?"

"Ross Shor Lynch" I had to say my full name. "And you are.." he wanted to know everything, I just wanted to tell him about Maddie. "Your daughter's boyfriend" I informed. "wha-" he hung up.

But I could hear his last words. "Emily! Did you know that Madison has a boyfriend?! I'm going to find them!" I tried calling again, but he didn't answer this time.

I decided to call her mother, Emily, who did answer. "Are you Ross?" she didn't even say hello. "Yes, ma'am" I pretended to be polite.

"What happened with my daughter?" Finally, someone who was worried about her daughter.
"She's at the hospital" I informed, I could hear the sound of the phone falling down, she had probably fainted. "Emily? Emily! Answer! Are you there?!" I yelled.
