"Let's play now, Saihara-chan."

Those words were quickly followed by the vampire rushing forward, aiming its blade for Shuichi's heart; before it could reach its target, however, Kaito quickly countered it with his own sword.

"Shuichi! I'll hold him off! Get Rantaro and—" but Kokichi already saw this possiblity coming, and darted back, not even interested in Kaito; his eyes were only focused on his target: Shuichi. And with a swift motion, Kokichi swung his wing, sending  Shuichi across the room.

Shuichi crashed into the stone wall, falling with a thud and having the breath knocked out of him as he crumbled onto the floor. His eyesight was blurry and he coughed.

"I can't breath.. " he gasped, trying to sit up, but to no avail. Everything hurt and Shuichi already was starting to feel hopeless.

'I've fallen deeply in love with you, Shuichi.'

Shuichi recalled back on those words the night Rantaro woke up from his deep slumber. Back then, Shuichi was absolutely terrified; he was scared he was going to lose him. Rantaro had been torn to pieces and put back together like a doll, and then fell asleep for so long... Shuichi had never worried for someone like that before.

"See ? Man, you humans are so weak." Kokichi sighed, his voice sounding off as if he was taking in a cave and there was a ringing echo to his words. He stepped over the ruble, heading toward the blue-headed male. "I wanted to enjoy this, but I guess I won't —"

Then Kaito ran in Kokichi's direction with a battle cry, aiming his sword, which caused Kokichi to freeze up.

'They'll kill you.'
'Monster!'
'Kill him! Kill him! Kill him!'

Kokichi quickly jumped back, stumbling even as he fell against the altar, knocking over the fruits, vases, and gifts that had been set on it.

'Even Kaito is planning to kill you.'
'You can't trust humans.'
'Not again.'

A range of thoughts tore through Kokichi's mind like a restless tornado; some were his, some were someone else's that existed in his mind for forever, and some bits from the past. At this point, even Kokichi couldn't differentiate them.

"K-Kirumi-chan! Kill them!" Kokichi cried out, pointing a finger at Kaito and Shuichi. "Kill them! Kill them!" He shouted like a little kid not getting their way, his scary inhumane aura starting to break through into something else.

Now seeing the other had become so shaken up, Shuichi furrowed his brows as Kaito helped him to his feet.

"He's totally panicking." Kaito murmured, and Shuichi agreed, though didn't say anything.

"He didn't panick until Momota tried to attack him."

"You and Oma..." Shuichi began to trail off, seeming suspicious and Kaito went red.

"No! I mean— we didn't get that far, not that I'd complain, but if we had the chance—"

Kaito paused.
