Rock and Roll like Nobody Knows

Lion in the Daycare

The manager, Mr. Wensly, led Cloud to the daycare. The sound of children playing echoed in the large area.

They looked over the railing, peering down at the zone that contained the kids. The whole place was colorful, the kids seemed excited to be there, or just hyper from the sugar they consumed.

Mr. Wensly led them down a set of stairs and stopped in front of a large door. It reminded Cloud of a castle gate from the children's books he found one time.

Wensly, knocked, almost immediately it was opened by a moon-looking guy.

"Ah, Moondrop, nice to see you again." Wensly greeted.

"Hello Mr. Wensly, how may I help you today?" Moon spoke, he seemed friendly.

"I brought a new addition to the daycare, meet Cloud." Wensly gestured over to the Lion Jester.

Cloud wave.

Moon opened the door wider, allowing Cloud to step inside. Wensly said goodbye and left, Moon closed to door promptly, making sure no kids escaped.

"Welcome to the daycare, I suppose I should show you around, follow me." Moon finally greeted.

He led them around the area, a few kids stopping and looking at the lion, some were in awe, others a little nervous.

Eventually, he brought them to the other daycare attendant, they looked like a sun.

"Well hello! I haven't seen you around here before, are you a new friend?!" The sun bounced up to them.

"Uh, I suppose so, I'm the new daycare attendant, I'm Cloud." Cloud's tail swished back and forth slowly, a slight jingle ringing out from the bells on the bow around his tail.

"I'm Sunrise, but you can call me Sun," he calmed down slightly being a bit more serious, "have you ever interacted with kids before?"

"Uh...no"

"Well no worries, we'll show you the ropes, granted there are a few rules but for safety reasons. Now come along, let's go meet the kids."

Cloud stood in front of a group of kids, they were fairly young. He was a little nervous, what if he did something wrong, what if he makes one cry.

He felt Sun put his hand on his shoulder.

"You'll do great, I just know it!" He gave a soft smile.

Sun started to talk to the kids, finally introducing Cloud to them. They were curious of him, that was good at least.

"Why don't you try to entertain them, give it a shot." Moon nudged him.

Cloud looked around, he saw the ball pit. He went over and scooped up a few of the plastic balls. He came back over and started to juggle them.

The kids stared in amazement and even giggled. Cloud felt happy, he finally was fulfilling his purpose. His tail started to wag a little, the bells jingling in a tune.

He felt like he had a bounce in his step, and without skipping a beat, hopped onto a plastic barrel, he was full of energy.

Sun and Moon watched the little performance with the kids, who by now all of them had gathered around the Lion. The two were fairly impressed with how Cloud was doing, he was a natural.
