Obi-Wan's P.O.V.
"Come on, don't be a girl."
"V, you are a girl."
I mumble while rolling my eyes and folding my arms. Which causes Vale to sigh dramatically before climbing up the latter. Glancing around, I make sure no one is here to see what I am.
We're in a restricted section in the library at the Jedi Temple. Vale and I were studying when she couldn't take it anymore. She said she knows this place she goes in the library to take her study breaks.
Vale offered to show it to me and I thought it wouldn't hurt until I realized we had to sneak in to go to it. A handful of padawans are in the library at the moment, studying like we should be. I don't believe they notice we left since they're actually doing what they're supposed to.
"Where are we going?"
"You'll see!" Vale whispers before glancing down at me standing on the floor. "Just climb, Kenobi. Live a little."
"I enjoy living, which is why I don't like where this ladder is going." I state as I shake my head at her. She turns to face down at me before glaring and snapping. "I swear if you don't start climbing-"
"Fine. Okay, but if we get in trouble-"
"We won't, I promise."
Vale interrupts me while opening up the hatchet in the ceiling. Sighing, I scan around one more time before following her up the ladder. I watch her go through the hole in the ceiling as I climb up higher.
When I'm close to the top, she stretches her hand out for me to take. I grab her hand and she pulls me through the hole. Glancing around, I realize we're on the roof of the Jedi Temple.
It's not the top roof of the building, but a lower one off to the side. Yet, it's still high enough for me to make sure I'm balanced. If tumbled off, I would have to tell Vale I'm right, if I was still alive.
Vale leaves the hatch open and stands up on the roof, making me get up from my sitting form. As I stand on my feet, I find her glancing around until she catches sight of what she's searching for. Grabbing my hand without looking my way, she tugs me to follow her.
Following her to a corner, my eyes keep glancing at the hand she's holding. When she stops walking, I stop beside her and scan around. We're in one corner where the sun is setting.
The sky's filled with shades of purple, orange, pink, and blue. Letting go of her hand, I take a step closer toward the edge. The city around the Temple looks like the size of my hands. Letting out a breath, I smile lightly and admire the view.
"Okay... You were right. This is a neat spot to take breaks."
"What was that?" Vale speaks up innocently while putting her hand to her ear. "I didn't catch that."
"This is a neat spot."
"No, before that."
Vale teases with her eyes on me before revealing a shit-eating grin. Shaking my head with a smirk, I watch her move to sit down with her legs dangling over the edge. I move to sit down beside her as we both watch the horizon.
"How did you find this place?" I blurt out and glance at Vale. She shrugs and sends me a look before answering. "I got bored... Which is a recurring feeling for me."
"Figures." I chuckle, making her shove me lightly and ask defensively. "Okay, oh great Obi-Wan. What do you do when you're bored?"
"I... Don't know..." I think out loud and frown from never thinking about it before. After a moment, the answer dawns on me and I smile softly before teasing. "Usually right when I'm on the verge of getting bored, you pop up out of nowhere needing my help."
