Dean and Cas are sitting in the Dean cave watching a movie. Well, they aren't really watching it to be honest. In reality, Cas is having an argument with himself, and Dean can tell something's up. He keeps on fiddling with the edge of the blanket he is under, and messing with his pant leg which is very unusual for the angel.

The argument, in Cas' head of course, was the fact that he wishes Dean would scoot just a little closer. One part of his mind wants that more than anything, wants to feel Dean's leg against his own, wants to touch Dean whenever he desires. But another part of his mind is telling him that it's wrong, that he shouldn't want that, that Dean would hate him for it.

Finally, Dean gets fed up with Cas' fiddling and obvious internal conflict. "Cas, are you okay?" He asks, breaking the long lasting silence.

Cas looks over at Dean quickly, not even having realized how deep in his head he was. "Yeah, why?" Cas asks, hoping that everything he was thinking remained as such. A thought.

"You've been messing with the blanket for the last thirty minutes, man. What's going on?" Dean asks, seriously concerned by Cas' reaction. He is obviously worried and extremely lost in thought.

Dean doesn't think twice before he places a hand on Cas' to stop his fidgeting, but leaves it there a second too long. When he realizes, he takes his hand away from Cas' and sets it in his lap.

"I... I don't know what's happening to me." Cas admits, not daring to make eye contact with Dean. He's never felt such an urge to touch someone before, to be touched by someone, and it's kind of freaking him out.

"What do you mean?" Dean asks, pausing the movie and turning towards Cas.

Cas looks at him nervously, like it was forbidden to do so. He puts a hand on Dean's cheek, and Dean's eyes go wide. He can see that Cas is fighting off tears that want to well up in his eyes.

"Dean, I..." Cas takes a deep breath, trying his hardest to get this out. When he tries to speak again though, no words come out. His eyes dart to Dean's lips and Dean notices.

"Cas." Dean says softly, smiling and nodding slightly. That's all it takes for Cas to rush forward and connect their lips together.

Dean takes control of the kiss pretty easily. After all, Cas probably hasn't ever kissed anyone before. He places his hands gently on Cas' waist, and Cas' other hand comes up to Dean's other cheek.

It's easy. It's natural, almost, the kiss. Cas' mind is racing with thoughts and worries, and of course, Dean's is too, but for this, the worries are worth it.

Cas pulls back quickly and looks at Dean, his eyes wide. "What?" Dean smiles obviously trying to tease Cas. He moves his hands from the angel's waist down to his knees, squeezing gently to tell him that it's okay. That this is wanted.

"Dean, what if I get in trouble for this? What if I get killed for this?" Cas asks and Dean's whole demeanor changes.

"What do you mean, killed? Has heaven done that sort of thing before?" Dean asks, a little panicked. He takes his hands off of Cas' knees and scoots back a bit.

Cas' eyes well up with tears once again. "I-I don't know, I don't think so..." Cas says, making Dean let out a sigh of relief.

He puts his hands on Cas' face and wipes his thumb across Cas' cheek where a tear had fallen. "Cas, I get that you're worried, I am too. This is all very new, but if nobody's been killed over something like this, why should it happen now?" Dean asks, Cas not having an answer for him. "Right, so where is this worry really coming from?" Dean asks, knowing it has to be more.

"It's just... I'm in a male vessel, is that.. okay?" Cas asks, looking away from Dean's gorgeous green eyes.

"Of course it is, Cas. Why wouldn't it be?" Dean asks, surprised that that's his biggest worry.

"I thought it was frowned upon. I thought that humans didn't like that." Cas says, quietly, feeling a bit embarrassed now.

"It's only frowned upon by bad people. Good people accept others for who they are. Everyone's not that good, you know that, but who cares what those people think? They don't have a say in this. Only we do." Dean says, trying his hardest to explain this in a way Cas would understand. He understands good versus evil. That's been his whole existence.

"Are you sure? Promise me." Cas says, still hesitant.

"I am 100% sure, Cas. I promise." Dean says, smiling as he runs his thumb along Cas' cheekbone.

"In that case..." Cas says, smiling widely. He leans back in and connects their lips together again. Dean smiles just as wide into the kiss, feeling Cas trying to push him back onto the couch.

Dean falls onto his back and Cas straddles his hips, kissing him deeper, running his hands through Dean's soft, dirty blonde hair.

Dean's hands run up and down Cas' sides, feeling his shirt lift up and the soft skin underneath getting warmer with his touch.

Cas makes a small noise into the kiss, and Dean gently pushes him back. "Okay, okay." Dean laughs slightly, obviously ecstatic.

"Was that bad?" Cas asks worriedly. He thought it would be okay. It's what Dean's done in the past with the girls he tried to get with.

"No Cas, it wasn't bad. That was very good, actually. I just think we should wait a bit for that." Dean says, smiling as he brushes some of Cas' hair out of his face.

"Oh." Cas says, sitting up awkwardly. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cross any boundaries..." He says, feeling guilty.

"Look, Cas, you didn't do anything wrong. We'll get there when we're ready, okay? It'll happen, just... not today. Not so soon." Dean says, leaning up and pecking Cas' lips softly.

"Okay." Cas says, smiling. He can tell Dean isn't mad. He isn't upset with Cas about it.

"Okay, why don't we actually watch a movie?" Dean says, making Cas laugh a bit. They move on the couch so that they're both under the same blanket, Dean's body wrapped around Cas'.

When the movie starts, Cas turns his head to look back at Dean. "I'm really glad this happened, Dean." He says, smiling.

"Me too Cas. Me too." Dean says, kissing Cas' cheek.
