Two Months Ago
Since Cas has become human, he's grown a beard. It's not unpleasant looking, but it itches Cas' face. He tried to shave once but he ended up with cuts all over his face.
Cas walked into Dean's room, seeing him typing away at his laptop and almost turned around to leave him be, but Dean beat him to it. "Heya Cas, what's up?" Dean asks, setting his laptop aside.
"I.. I was wondering if you could help me shave? I tried once but it was painful and I don't want to do that again." Cas asks nervously. For the most part, Dean is clean shaven and he does it without mistakes.
"Yeah, sure." Dean says, standing up from his bed. "Come with me." He says, walking into the bathroom that stems off his bedroom. He gets all of the supplies out; a wet rag, shaving cream, a razor, and some aftershave. "Do you want me to teach you, or would you rather me just do it and leave that for another time?" Dean asks, not caring which Cas picks.
"Can you just do it? It's getting itchy and extremely irritating." Cas says, obviously embarrassed that he has to ask Dean this.
"Yeah, that works. Hop up on the counter." Dean says, patting the countertop of his sink.
Cas does as he's told, reluctantly. He doesn't feel like he should be sitting up there. "Okay, I'm going to wet your face a little and put some shaving cream on first." Dean says, leaning his knees against the cabinet under the counter, realizing that he's standing right in between Cas' legs.
Dean blushes as he realizes this, but this is simply a friend helping another friend. Dean spreads the shaving cream on Cas' cheeks and neck and then runs the water on his hands to clean them off.
Dean lifts the razor and sees Cas shy away. "Cas it's fine, I know what I'm doing here. Been shaving for a long time." Dean says, trying to reassure Cas that he's not going to hurt him.
"Of course. Sorry." Cas says, leaning back to where Dean can reach.
"'S fine Cas." Dean says, putting the razor to his upper cheek. "Anything you wanna keep or should I take it all off?" Dean asks before he starts.
"Just take it all off please." Cas says, legs squeezing Dean's sides as Dean makes the first stroke, taking off hair and shaving cream as he goes. Dean feels this and thinks back on the times where he's definitely had girls up on this exact counter with their legs wrapped around his waist.
Dean shakes his head and tries to clear the thoughts from his mind. He continues slowly, putting his free hand on the right side of Cas' neck to hold him steady. "Gotta go slow so you don't get nicked." Dean explains, Cas humming in acknowledgment.
Cas is obviously still nervous he'll get nicked, but so far, it's going good, so he relaxes a bit. Dean washes the razor off every few strokes, making sure to take it slow and clean up everything needed.
By the time he's done, he wipes a little bit of shaving cream off of Cas' neck right beside his ear. "Okay, you're all cleaned up, but I'm gonna put on some aftershave to soothe the skin. It's a little irritated, but not one cut." Dean says proudly.
Cas nods, letting his legs unwrap from Dean's waist and realize how inappropriate that was. Dean walks back to the counter with some aftershave and applies it to Cas' face and neck even though Cas could've done that part himself.
Dean works his thumbs into Cas' face for a little longer than necessary, but it kind of felt nice to be touching someone so gently.
"Alright, you're all done." Dean says, backing away and wiping his hands on a towel.
"Thank you, Dean." Cas says, turning to look in the mirror. Not one cut whatsoever.
"No problem. If you need help again, I can always help." Dean says, looking at Cas in the mirror from behind.
