Dean and Cas are in a rough patch. They'd been doing great since they started dating almost eight months ago, but recently Dean's become careless with his health. Cas tried to confront Dean and tell him that he wasn't taking care of himself, and Dean got pissed. He left the bunker without hesitation, and it made Cas feel like an awful boyfriend.

Cas knows that Dean will be back. He always is, but he's sitting in Dean's room, taking in the natural smell of the hunter when he feels his grace surge with pain. He knows it's Dean. They have the angel-human connection and can always feel each other.

Cas rushes to get his phone out of his pocket and calls Dean. Dean picks up after a second and Cas asks, "Are you okay?! What'd you do?"

Dean sighs and replies with a quick, raspy "M'fine."

He's obviously drunk, but Cas can tell that he's hurt in some way. "No, baby, you're not. What happened?" Cas asks, still panicking. He can feel how much pain Dean's in physically right now.

"Don't." Dean says, making Cas sigh.

"Dean where are you?" Cas asks, rushing to grab his trench coat. Dean's not okay.

"I65, mile marker 6." Dean says, hesitantly, but then he groans, and Cas feels tears come to his eyes.

Cas snaps to where Dean said and there he is, the impala flipped, Dean bleeding inside. "What the fuck!" Cas yells, pocketing his phone and running over to the driver's side. "Are you okay? Where does it hurt?" Cas asks, seeing blood dripping down Dean's forehead. His eyes are closed, but he's still breathing.

"Everywhere." Dean says, groaning as he tries to move his legs.

"Stay still. I'm flying you back home." Cas says, grabbing Dean's hand through the shattered window. Dean tries to pull away, still not having forgiven Cas, but Cas doesn't let him. He flies them back to the bunker and Dean's laying on the map table, Sam rushing to Cas's side.

"What happened?" Sam asks, grabbing some liquor to disinfect the slash in his brother's leg.

"Fucking drove drunk. Flipped the car." Cas says, tearing a piece of his dress shirt off to use as a torniquet. Dean's screaming in pain as Cas ties the piece of his shirt tightly above his hand, effectively stopping the blood flow. His left hand is obviously broken.

"Can you heal him?" Sam asks, working on Dean's leg.

"No, not enough grace right now. Just stop the bleeding." Cas says, inspecting the hand. "Squeeze." He tells Dean. Dean tries to squeeze Cas's hand and screams in pain, recoiling his legs up to his stomach.

"Broken?" Sam asks, starting to pour the whiskey on Dean's leg. Cas nods and checks Dean's scalp where he was bleeding earlier. Theres a small cut, probably needs stitches, but it's not too bad.

Cas checks over the rest of Dean's body and finds a shard of glass sticking out of his right side. Cas reaches over for the whiskey, takes a gulp, and then pours some on the glass, Dean groaning as it burns. Cas grabs the glass and pulls it out quickly, tossing it into the sink. Cas reaches for another stitching kit and starts stitching up his side.

Dean groans and puts his right, healthier, hand on Cas's making Cas stop. "Cas, I'm sorry." Dean says, his voice still raspy.

"Dean." Cas says, moving Dean's hand and continuing the stitches.

"Listen to me." Dean demands, making Cas look up, but Sam continues. "If I die..." He starts, tears rolling down his temples.

"You will not die." Cas says, quickly, cutting off cutting off Dean.
