Dean and Cas broke up about a month ago. Dean's hunting and Cas' common trips to heaven made them grow apart a little too much to continue to date. It ended between them with an argument and they didn't really ever come back from it. Dean is still madly in love with Cas, but Cas doesn't think he is anymore, so he's trying to move on.

Cas is in his room getting ready for something. He didn't tell anyone why, but he's going on a date. He met this really sweet guy at the store the other day, and they exchanged phone numbers.

Cas puts some gel in his hair and tames the mess that it normally is. He doesn't really like to do this, but he thinks it makes him more attractive to others. He walks out of his room, in a suit, and puts on a watch from the bathroom. He slips his phone and wallet into his pocket and is on the way out when Dean stops him.

"Hey, where are you going?" Dean asks, from the bottom of the staircase. Cas turns around, half way up them, and smiles.

"I'm going on a date." He says, blushing. He's never been on a date before with someone he doesn't really know, or really felt any feelings other than the ones he has for Dean, but that'll never happen again.

"No you're not, seriously, where are you going?" Dean says, extremely jealous if Cas actually is going on a date.

"I told you, Dean. We're going to a steakhouse. I have to go or I'm going to be late." Cas says, turning on his heels. When he tries to open the door to leave the bunker, Dean runs up the stairs and slams it shut, blocking Cas in.

"No you're not." Dean says again, face to face with Cas, now.

"Yes I am, Dean. Let go of the door." Cas says, sighing. He knows how Dean can be.

"No the fuck you are not. You're not going on any date." Dean says sternly, getting angry that Cas is trying to move on from him.

"Dean, we're not together anymore. You can't tell me I can't go on a date." Cas says, trying to pull the door open, but Dean slams it shut again, grabbing Cas' shoulder with one hand, the other still on the door.

"I don't care that we're not together anymore, you're not going on a date. Who is the date even with? How do you even know him?" Dean asks, keeping Cas from leaving still.

"His name is Jacob. I met him at the store the other day and we exchanged phone numbers, look Dean I'm gonna be late. Let me leave. We can talk about this later." Cas says, making Dean look down and take his hands away from Cas and the door.

He steps back and Cas nods, "thank you, I'll see you later." He says. He turns around, opens the door, and leaves without a problem.

Cas' Uber is waiting outside, so he hops in, gives the driver the address, and they start to drive, Cas texting Jacob that he might be a minute late. Jacob says that it's okay because he probably will be too. Cas laughs and sets his phone down, smiling.

When Cas arrives at the steakhouse, he pays the driver and steps out of the car, seeing Jacob waiting on a bench at the front door. "Hi," Cas smiles and Jacob stands up, smiling as well.

"Wow you look amazing." He says, hugging Cas. Cas blushes and hugs back.

The two walk into the steakhouse and are seated instantly, the two talking about everything you talk about on first dates.

"Where do you work?"

"What are your interests?"

"What's your favorite type of food?"

Everything they go through, Cas answers honestly, kind of exhausted at all the questions. It was so much easier with someone who already knew everything about him. That someone being Dean.
