Stressed - Destiel

Dean and Cas just got back to a motel from a hunt, and Cas is in the shower. Dean's sitting on a couch against the wall, silently listening to Cas' humming and trying to stop stressing out. He has no idea why he's so stressed, but he feels like he can hear screaming inside of his head and it won't stop.

When Cas gets out of the shower, a towel loosely wrapped around his waist, he walks into the main area of the motel room. "Dean, you okay?" Cas asks, sitting next to him.

"Yeah, just stressed, I guess." Dean says, taking a deep breath and feeling Cas' arm wrap around his shoulders.

"About what?" Cas asks, pulling Dean close to his bare chest, Dean pressing a kiss to the skin when he gets there.

"I don't know, just feel like someone's screaming in my head." Dean says, shutting his eyes for a minute, but ultimately, that makes the screaming worse.

"I get that too sometimes." Cas says, running his fingers through Dean's hair. Dean calms a little at the feeling. Cas' touch alone calms him, but the hair is the best.

"You do?" Dean asks. He didn't know that angels could get that type of thing.

"Yeah, when I'm worried about you, or we're on a case and separated." Cas says, kissing Dean's head softly. "Do you think this could stem from us hiding from Sam?" Cas asks, worried. He knows Dean isn't ready to come out to Sam yet, but that means the two have to act like they're just best friends.

They've been together for close to 8 months now, but Dean took a while to come to terms with liking a guy in his own mind. It takes time, and Cas understands, and is willing to support Dean through it all. A downside, though, is that he doesn't want to tell Sam yet. He's scared that Sam will reject him, but Cas isn't worried about that.

"I don't know, maybe? I just.. I don't know how he'll react, and I hate it, I really do, but I'm... scared." Dean says, taking another breath.

"I know, Dean, and whenever you want to tell Sam, I'll be right there with you. I understand that you're not ready, you can take as much time as you need, okay? Don't worry about this until the time comes, but either way, Sam will accept you," Cas smiles, knowing that he's telling the truth. Sam isn't one to judge because of someone's sexuality.

"I hope so," Dean breathes, trying not to think about the fact that Sam might not accept him.

"Look at me, Dean." Cas says softly. Dean looks up at him and Cas brushes a hair off of Dean's forehead. "Sam wouldn't care. No matter what, he's your brother, and he wants you to be happy, whether that's with a man or a woman." Cas says, sternly.

"Yeah, I know. I'm just scared to tell him, but I don't really know why." Dean says, sitting up fully, facing Cas. He looks down at Cas' waist and sees the tattoo that he adores. It's something in enochian, he's never really asked what it means, but he loves it either way.

"It's okay, everyone gets scared at some point, even if it is over something that is simple." Cas smiles, seeing Dean's gaze to his waist. "Do you know what it means?" Cas asks, making Dean glance up at him and shake his head.

"No, I just know that I really love it." Dean smiles, putting his hand on Cas' waist and stroking his thumb over it.

"It says your name." Cas admits, smiling. "When I got the assignment to protect you, it appeared, I didn't really like it at first, it felt weird that something was permanently on my body, but I started loving it when I started loving you." Cas says, making Dean's eyes go wide.

"That says Dean?" Dean asks, noticing that it is four letters.

"Yes." Cas smiles. "Does that freak you out?" Cas asks, looking at Dean's shocked expression.
