Crazy!Cas era

As Cas walked around the bunker, looking for Dean to express his new concerns, he started humming a song to himself. He's been oddly calm lately, and he feels like everyone's treating him differently. He doesn't really know why, he's just been different. He quit hunting, he makes jokes now, he adores bees, but his main concern now, is that the bunker is missing a species.

"Dean?" Cas asks once he finds the man. He's sitting at a laptop at the map table, a beer in hand, looking stressed out.

"Hey Cas, how ya feeling?" Dean asks, setting aside whatever research he's doing.

"Do you think we need a cat?" Cas asks, making Dean's eyes go wide. "I feel that the bunker is short a species." He explains further, looking around and seeing nothing that interests him.

"Um..." Dean says, raising his eyebrows in surprise. Since Cas has gone somewhat crazy, he's been obsessing over animals, but they makes him so happy and Dean thinks that seeing Cas happy like that is the most adorable thing ever. "Sure, buddy. A cat." Dean agrees, knowing that Cas would love a little kitten to play with.

"What if I started a bee hive here too?" Cas asks, smiling, his hands coming together in front of his stomach.

Dean instantly gets goosebumps. "Absolutely not. No bees. You can have a cat, but I won't be able to stand bees around here." Dean says, being repulsed at the thought of bees around the bunker.

"But Dean..." Cas says, his hands falling to his sides.

"No. No bees. You can get a cat though. We can go in the morning, does that sound okay to you?" Dean asks, trying to make Cas happier. He really loves that Cas is showing his emotions now, but he's disappointed that Cas, the normal Cas, is nowhere to be found behind those bright blue eyes.

"Yes, a cat in the morning." Cas smiles, sitting down across from Dean and staring at him.

"You okay?" Dean asks, wondering why the man is staring at him. He blushes under the gaze of his best friend's eyes. He doesn't normally stare at him.

"Yes, I'm fine." Cas says, not breaking away his stare.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Dean asks, wanting to cover up his face but knowing that Cas wouldn't understand why.

"Like what?" Cas asks, his smile dropping, and Dean shakes his head, breathing out a laugh and smiling. Cas smiles back at Dean and continues to look over the man's face, wondering how many freckles he has.

"Do you know how to take care of a cat?" Dean asks, changing the subject.

"No... Not really." Cas admits, still looking at Dean's freckles, but when Dean sighs, his eyes move towards the man's lips. They're just as pink and plump as he remembers. He bets they're soft, too.

"Well, you gotta feed it, get it a litter box, make sure it has enough attention, which means you can't go forgetting about it when you're back to yourself, okay?" Dean explains, hoping that getting this cat won't be a bad idea.

"I'll take care of him for it's whole life, I promise, Dean." Cas says, he really wants a cute little fluff-ball running around the bunker and he's so happy that Dean agreed, so as many questions he has about the 'back to normal' comments he has, he keeps them to himself.

"I know you will." Dean smiles. Cas' eyes trail up to Dean's eyes and he admires how beautifully green they are. It's like he's staring at a field of dewy grass in the morning. They're gorgeous.

The next morning, Cas woke Dean up super early, around 7:00am, and Dean was pissed, but he saw how happy Cas was, shaking Dean awake. "We have to go get a cat!!!" Cas exclaims, shaking the bed to get Dean up.
