Sam and Dean are in the car, heading to Las Vegas. Surprisingly, Bobby had told the boys to take a "much needed vacation while things are still quiet." Dean flinched at the word quiet, knowing that as soon as someone said that word, it became the opposite. A week later, though, things hadn't changed. Everything was actually quiet.
Sam and Dean took off after a week and are now about an hour away from their nice hotel, thanks to credit card scams. They had been listening to one of Dean's personal favorite cassette tapes, when the tape came to an end. Dean put in another and 'Paradice City' by Guns 'N Roses blared through the speakers. Sam looks over at Dean and laughs as the two start to sing.
"TAKE ME DOWN TO THE PARADISE CITY WHERE THE GRASS IS GREEN AND THE BOYS ARE PRETTY." Dean sang, hoping Sam wouldn't mention the word he changed. Of course, Sam realized, but continued singing. Every time the song got to the chorus, Sam would switch up saying either boys or girls. Dean smiles at this and wonders if Sam meant that, or he was just going along with what Dean was singing.
When the song was over, both boys reach for the volume to turn it down. Dean laughs and turns it down, glancing at Sam. "Was that what I think it was?" Sam asks, wondering if that was Dean's way of saying that he likes guys.
"Yeah, think so." Dean says simply. "You too?" He asks, wondering if Sam isn't straight either.
"Yeah, both, you?" Sam asks, wondering if Dean just said 'boys' because it's obvious he likes girls.
"Same. Bi." Dean says simply, smiling to himself. He's wanted to get it off his chest for a while, but he wasn't sure how to bring it up. That song, though, was the perfect opportunity and he wasn't missing that chance.
"Pan." Sam says, also smiling. "How long have you known?" Sam asks, wondering if Dean's always known he was bi.
"A while. Since right after I showed up at Stanford, I guess." Dean says and Sam nods. He assumed that; Dean looked different, not in a bad way, but more of an accepting way. Like he finally accepted himself.
"Mine was a little before. Jess wanted to do some crazy stuff. Before I knew it, I'd tried everything and wanted everything." Sam says, looking at Dean's disgusted face. "Sorry. Thank you for telling me, I'm proud of you." Sam says, making Dean grimace.
"Hey, now, no chick flicks." Dean says, patting Sam on the shoulder, silently saying, 'Thank you, I'm proud of you, too.'
Sam laughs and rolls down his window, Dean doing the same and turning the radio back up, now hearing 'Viva Las Vegas' by Elvis. Sam looks over at Dean and laughs, shaking his head.
"What? I can dig Elvis." Dean says, laughing back and singing loudly "All you need's a strong heart and a nerve of steel. Viva Las Vegas, Viva Las Vegas!"
The two pull into the parking lot of their hotel at around 9:00pm and gaze up at the building. It's at least ten stories high and every room has a private balcony. They check in and set their things down in their room, both getting dressed up in a dress shirt, suit jacket, dress pants, and polished shoes. They plan on winning some money tonight at the casino.
After a few hours, Dean lost about $200 dollars and Sam has won around $2,000. Dean glares at Sam and pockets a thousand for his next stop of the night, "Going to that strip club around the corner, I'll see you back at the hotel." Dean explains, smirking to himself as he walks out of the casino.
Sam keeps playing blackjack, because he's already won so much on just that game, and ends up losing it all to a certain, short, golden-haired angel. Gabe laughs and hands Sam the money, having no use for it, and they keep playing random games throughout the night.
