"ALPHA. . ."

My jaw clenched when Leo came back empty-handed. He failed to bring back that damn woman. That woman who never fears me. That woman who has the guts to look me in the eye. Siya lang ang babaeng bukod tanging hindi rumerespeto sa akin.

I should've killed her a long time ago for straight rejecting me as her alpha. Since she was too stubborn for me to use, I should've disposed of her. Weirdly, I don't like the idea.

When I confirmed that none of those female wolves was my mate, the first woman that came to mind was Avianna. I was silently wishing it would be her so I would have the right to punish her.

To hold her.

To mark her.

Kaya nang makita ko siya sa akmang pagtakas, my suspicion went up. I was anticipating it. That she's my mate. But to my dissatisfaction, it wasn't her who had a symbol. It was her friend who had it, Callie.

When I discovered I was mated, I searched for her immediately. I was already frustrated, mad and in pain. Ayokong isiping ayaw niya sa ‘kin. Well, if she doesn't like me, I will make her like me. Wala siyang pagpipilian.

But now I think I have found her. Why the fuck am I not happy? Even my wolf is growling in madness. Like it was rejecting the idea, like myself.

I can't control my emotions. Lalo na nang magpumilit umalis si Avianna. It's okay if a wolf rejects me for being their alpha. Pero sa kanya. Ayokong marinig iyon. I hate every rejection coming from her mouth.

I don't mean to be harsh, but I can't stop myself. I was mad. I was frustrated.

"Find her. Hindi kayo babalik dito hangga't hindi niyo naibabalik sa akin si Avianna," malamig kong utos.

"Alpha. Avianna doesn't want to be found. We found the Alpha Female already. Why do you still want to keep her—"

Before I could even control myself, I choked his f*cking neck and dug my nails into his flesh. I've been wanting to kill this motherfvcker for a long time now. I hate it when he's close to Avianna!

"Did I ask for your opinion?" I said dangerously. Half controlling myself not to kill him on the spot. "Bring her to me or I will bury your head in the ground!"

Marahas ko siyang binitawan at pumasok sa loob.

They followed me as I headed to my room. I must face the woman who has the symbol and confirm it myself.

"Where is she?"

"Inside, Alpha."

Wala akong sinayang na oras. Pumasok ako sa loob at doon ko siya nakita. She was sitting next to my bed. Hugging her legs. Looking agitated.

"Stand up," mautoridad kong utos. I don't want to waste my time. If she's my mate, I must mark her now.

"A-Alpha," nanginginig ang boses niya.

"I won't hurt you, Callie. I need to confirm it first before I mark you."

The fear in her eyes didn't go unnoticed from my sharp eyes. Why is she afraid? She should be happy. Out of all the women I gathered here, she's the only one who has a symbol.
"Stand up. Let me see it," utos ko.

Nanginginig na lumapit siya sa akin. My hand automatically went up to lower down her neckline. There, I see it. The symbol.

"You have a symbol of a mated female wolf, but why can't I neither smell nor feel you, Callie?"

Nagbaba siya ng tingin. A habit I remember from Jordan. She always does that.

"A-Alpha. . . I-I li—"

"It doesn't matter. You said it was the first time you saw other male wolves. Is it also the time you have this?" I asked.

Tumango siya. I released a harsh breath. So, it was really her. Male wolves first have the symbol, and the female will only have it once they interact.

"You know what this means, right, Callie?" seryoso na tanong ko sa kanya. "I have to mark you. Now."

Mabilis na nag-angat ang mga nanlalaki niyang mga mata. Marahas siyang umiling.

"N-No! No!"

Nagsalubong ang mga kilay ko. "I will mark you because you're mine! I'm not asking your permission. I'm telling you, Callie."

Mariin kong hinawakan ang braso niya nang subukin niyang kumawala sa hawak ko. What the fuck is wrong with her and Avianna? Don't they know how to appreciate being close to an alpha?
"M-may kailangan akong sabihin! Wait—"

Hindi ko na pinatapos ang pagdadaldal niya. I pulled her harshly towards me and was about to mark her on the neck when I smelled something. My eyes were stuck staring at the bite mark on her neck in disbelief.

"You're f*cking—"

The door to my room slammed open and it revealed my Delta, Callisto. His eyes show fear when he saw me, but I think there's more than just me as to why he's afraid.

"A-Alpha! There's must be a misunderstanding," nininerbyos niyang saad.

Nagtagis ang mga panga ko.

"Yes, there is."

Bago pa siya makahuma, hawak-hawak ko na ang leeg niya. "How dare you mark her? She's f*cking mine!"

"Alpha!"

His face turned white. "A-Alpha! S-She's my—She's m-my. . ."

"Alpha! Mapapatay mo siya," Leo intervene.

"I will really kill this fvcker for marking my woman!"

"Alpha Vane! Stop, please! He's my. . . He's my mate! Hindi ikaw!"

Lahat kami napatigil sa sigaw ni Callie. I looked at her, dumbfounded.

"What do you mean?" gigil kong tanong. I have enough of this bullshit! "Tell me the truth before I kill this bastard!"

Napapitlag siya. A lone tear slips down from her eye. I don't like where this is going.

"Bitiwan mo muna siya!"

I did. I tossed Callisto away before giving her my full attention.

"Tell me the truth!"

"I-It was not me!" Her eyes tightly, whispering words of apology, before opening her eyes. "I-It was. . .Jordan. She's your mate, Alpha."

Nagtagis ang mga panga ko.

GODDAMN IT!

That woman!

She won't surely escape again once I find her!
