(Y/N)'s old life at UA feels like a distant memory.
Hawks, the gorgeous number two hero, has taken her under his wing. But the ultimate mission is to stop the villains (Y/N) has come to care for - some more than she'd like to admit.
Between her ma...
It didn't take long to find where you needed to go.
For it being such a dangerous part of town, the red light certainly didn't hold back in making a bold, eye-catching statement upon entry.
At first, it seemed like an attack on your senses, flashing bright lights and images of sexualized men and women in your face. The streets were flooded with shameless patrons or simply curious tourists and visitors wanting a peak.
Heller was unusually quiet at your side.
"What's wrong?" You asked, "It's so not you to be turned off by this."
"It's giving me nostalgia is all," he said, "Can you feel it? You hardly need to touch anyone to feed off the sexual energy coursing through these buildings. However, I don't think my connections are going to be as compliant as you and your boyfriend are hoping."
"Even for you?"
Heller smirked, "I can certainly try to charm them, sure. I like the wig by the way, but it's not going to fool anyone."
(AN: choose any wig style you like! I'm going with short and pink 💁♀️)
"I only need to fool the fools," you muttered, adjusting your lingerie under your dress. Anyone walking by stole a glance, but not in a confused way. You looked like you belonged, and some heavy pockets were interested.
"So who is she again?" You asked.
"Ruby," Heller mulled, "We didn't leave off on the best of terms."
"Why?"
"I killed one of her clients."
You rolled your eyes, "Oh, gods... of course you did."
He chuckled, "That hero I told you about, remember. Ugly prick. One of Ruby's girls was accidentally killed because that bastard wanted to keep his secret sex life - well - secret. She was one of my favorites. A sweetie, kind of like you... she didn't have that bratty side, though."
"I'm sorry, she... What bratty side?! You're the brat!"
Heller just smiled.
Hawks couldn't tag along this time. He was close, but the first part of your mission was to locate the criminals and their victims without causing too much suspicion. You were popular and could be recognized but you had a villain background now. And you hoped it would work in your favor and draw Izaya out of his hole.
You still had your earrings to help Hawks track you if you needed, or if his feathers couldn't pick up on you. It wasn't like you were alone either.
"Is anyone else weirdly excited about this?" Mina arrived ahead of the rest. She too had striking features but with less of a reputation, a longer pink wig that hid her yellow antlers did a remarkable job. She had been overly enthused about picking the risqué attire.
