After leaving the jail, Dean wandered around for a while, with no destination in mind, he just needed to be alone to think. He couldn't be around the others right now, not when he was planning on breaking that bastard Cecil out of jail. Of course, to do that though, meant he had to gather a list of freaking ingredients that were next to impossible to fucking find. How the hell was he supposed to get them without raising suspicion? No, how the hell was he even supposed to know where to look for the damn things in the first place? It wasn't like they had some kind of magic ingredient shop in Heaven, that he could go to and buy everything he fucking needed. Sighing frustrated, he stopped walking and looked around, cursing in his head, he realized that he was now standing outside of Xavier's cabin. Shaking his head in annoyance, he quickly turned to leave before anyone saw him, he had only made it a few steps, when a voice spoke from behind him. Stopping, Dean kept his back to them, as the person came closer and spoke again.
"Hello, Dean." Xavier's gentle voice greeted him, Dean hung his head, but didn't turn around.
"Hey, Xavier." Dean replied sighing, as he finally turned to face him and rubbed the back of his neck with one hand.
"You want to come in?" Xavier offered hopefully. "Ava and Zachariah aren't here, I thought maybe we...we could talk?"
"I can't, I'm busy." Dean replied, Xavier looked at the ground sadly and nodded his head, making Dean's guilt rush through his body. "We...we can talk later."
"Oh, can...can I help you with anything?" Xavier asked, it was obvious that his guilt was still bothering him and he was trying to fix things by being extra helpful.
"Uh, no, this is something I need to do by myself." Dean answered, before he turned and began walking away.
"Okay, well, I'm here if you need anything." Xavier called after him sadly.
Dean stopped walking, maybe he could get the damn ingredients through Xavier?
"Actually." Dean said, as he turned around to face the older Angel. "Maybe, there is something that you could help me with?"
"Name it, brother, and consider it done." Xavier said smiling, as he led the way inside.
"Well, I actually found an old spell that we might be able to use to get Cecil talking."
"A spell?" Xavier repeated confused. "The only spells Angels can use or even know for that matter, are the ones in that ancient spell book that Cecil has. So, how did you come across this spell?"
"It's...it's a long story that I don't have time to tell right now." Dean replied lying again. "Will you help me or not?"
"Of course, let me get the others and..."
"No!" Dean yelled, cutting him off. "No one else can know about this."
"Why not?" Xavier questioned confused.
"Do you really think that the others; especially the Council, are going to trust any kind of magic after what happened with Cecil? Please, Xavier, I don't want to do this anymore than you do, but what choice do we have? No one knows that bastard like you and I do, and we both know he won't tell us a damn thing about my family...without a little help." Dean lied, hoping that he'd believe him.
"Dean, I...this doesn't feel right." Xavier said shaking his head.
"You're right, I'm sorry, I never should have asked you to help me." Dean replied sadly. "Forget I was even here, I...I'll do it myself." He added, as he turned to leave.
"Wait." Xavier said quickly stopping him, Dean stood with his back to him smiling. "No, you're right, Dean, Cecil won't tell us anything no matter what they do to him or threaten him with. What are the ingredients?" He added, Dean smiled widely, before he wiped the smile off of his face and turned to look at Xavier.
