Guardian Angel Pt25/Ambreigns

 Dean quickly, but carefully, made his way to the woods, sticking to the shadows whenever he could, being careful not to attract any attention to himself. Finally, after what felt like forever, he made it without anyone seeing him. He slowly walked to the clearing and sighing put the box down on a tree stump. He was grateful for the space from Xavier, his guilt was starting to get to him and he wasn't sure how much longer he'd be able to handle this and not fall apart. He began to pace, as he fought with his conscience, he didn't want to betray Ava, Xavier, and Zachariah, they had become his family, they were the only ones who had helped him since he got here.  He couldn't let Roman and Seth die either, they were his family too, dammit and they needed him. Either way he chose someone he loved deeply was going to be hurt by him. This was all that bastard Cecil's fault and Dean vowed that once his family was safe he was going to rip that son-of-a-bitch apart slowly piece by traitorous piece with his bare damn hands. Needing to distract himself, he began to angrily set everything up, when he was finished, he decided to practice going over the spell to kill some time. He lost track of the time and didn't realize how late it was, until he suddenly, heard a twig snap from somewhere in the forest. He froze and looked around trying to figure out where the sound had come from. A noise behind him made him turn around quickly and saw Xavier coming into the clearing alone.

 "Dammit, Xavier, you scared the crap out of me." Dean said calming down.

 "Sorry, Dean, I didn't mean to scare you." Xavier said, as he touched Dean's shoulder. "Are you okay?"

  "It's alright, I'm okay, I guess I'm just a little on edge." Dean replied sighing, as he ran his hands over his face. "Did you get the fruit?"

 "I did and it was easier to convince her to go than we thought." Xavier answered smiling, as he held up the fruit.

 "That's not suspicious at all." Dean replied sarcastically.

 "Try not to worry about that, Dean, I'm sure it's just because she wants to get your family back as badly as we do." Xavier said sighing.

 "Yeah." Dean agreed unsure.

 "Shall we get started?"

 "Wait, you're...you're staying?" Dean asked nervously.

 "Of course, this is your first time doing any kind of magic like this."

 "Wait, you...you've done this before?" Dean asked shocked.

 "Oh, no, but I do know how to speak Latin, which that spell is written in."

 "Latin, right, I...I knew that." Dean replied lying.

 "No, you didn't." Xavier said smiling.

 "No, no, I didn't." Dean agreed making them both laugh.

 "Alright, let's get started."

 "Aren't you worried about helping me use magic?" Dean asked.

 "Honestly, Dean, no." Xavier replied sighing again. "For so long now, I tried to be the perfect Angel; not to the extreme that our dear Ava goes to, but I never questioned anything either. Then I met you and I saw what the Council put you unfairly through, and I realized that sometimes being good means standing against others for the greater good."

 "Thank you." Dean said quietly, as he hung his head, damn Cecil for doing this, for making him betray his family. "Let's get this over with."

 Dean took the fruit from Xavier and stood at the makeshift table he had made out of a large rock with a flat top. He took the spell out of his pocket and taking a deep breath, he looked at Xavier sadly. He then began the spell, following every step exactly as it was written, thanks to Xavier's translation. As he said the final words, he closed his eyes and covered them with his arm, as a bright, white light engulfed the clearing, accompanied by a loud ringing noise. When they were both gone, Dean opened his eyes slowly and was shocked to find himself no longer in the forest, but he was now standing in a small cabin he had never seen or been to before. Confused, he went to speak, but was cut off by Cecil coming into sight, angry, Dean went to attack him, but he stopped him.
