Celestia stabbed me multiple times in my chest, all the while choking back tears at what her life had resulted in.

I couldn't scream, my mouth just plastered open, a silent pain-filled shriek exiting my lungs. Every time I looked down I wanted to throw up, blood pouring like a waterfall from my chest. My heart was beating so much I thought it would explode, and through the tears and racing thoughts, I could faintly hear someone else's voice. A roar of fury. Where was that coming from?

Celestia's flowing mane was covered in spatters of blood, turning her regal, elegant demeanour into something from a horror film.

My ears began to ring and I felt lightheaded from the blood loss. Celestia dropped the knife, grabbing my head with one of her hooves and yelling at me. I could barely hear her...

"Is he coming! Y/N is he coming!" she yelled, shaking my head frantically. "I need to know!"

I faintly nodded, the sensation of her shaking me making me feel more ill by the second. Seeing my nod, she rushed from the room, leaving me to dip in and out of consciousness with my gaping wounds.

Maybe this was it.

Maybe I would die.

And by Celestia's hoof no less...

A huge amount of pressure was suddenly placed on my stomach and I blinked open my eyes to see the princess hastily bandaging me, trying to stop the bleeding.

"Just because you withheld information doesn't mean I wont try to save your life Y/N. Dont forget that. I'm not the heartless monster here." She pulled the bandages tightly and fastened them together. Blood was still soaking through them but it seemed like it was slowly stopping. I looked up to see Celestia pacing the room.

"You know what I should have done? I should have let you die. I should have let you die because it would be easier to kill Sombra that way. But do you know why I didn't?" She turned her head and locked eyes with me. "Because I am not a murderer. I am not evil. I don't kill ponies." Celestia walked closer to me, inches from my face. "So in the near future, when it comes time to choose between two sides, know that I am the only one that cares. He is only using you for his own benefit, and you're blind to it all."

"That's not- true..." I whispered.

Celestia scoffed. "Even in your state you still defend him... It is King Sombra that got you in this situation to begin with! It's all his fault! Why can't you understand-"

A huge explosion at the edge of the city rumbled in our ears and I could feel the walls and floors shake from the impact. Celestia backed away from me, panic showing in her eyes before she sprinted at the speed of light out of the cell and up the stairs. I could hear soldiers yelling in the corridors as the walls continued to tremble.

An almost demonic voice consumed every fiber of Canterlot.

"GIVE HER BACK!"
