Sombra turned away from me and slammed his hoof onto Caramels back, a sickening crack echoing around us. My breath caught in my throat. With one quick tug, he pulled her left wing off, tendons and bloodied feathers hanging from it. Caramel let out a scream of pain. The sound struck my heart.

Sombra spit her mangled wing out of his mouth as though it was a rotten piece of fruit.
"Not so confident now, are we?" he whispered to her, pulling her mane back so she faced him.
Caramel let out a choked cry and tried to edge away, but to no avail. He pressed an armoured hoof down on her other wing and slowly, painfully slowly, ripped it from her body with his magic. Caramel's silent scream penetrated my mind and I felt faint, my eyes unable to take in everything before me.

A menacing light emanated from Sombra's horn as he snarled down at her and I watched, silent, as dark crystal began jutting out of the ground. Caramel was still pinned down and, having nowhere else to go, the crystal broke through her limbs. An agonising scream followed as the crystal spread over her body, blood covering them in bucketloads. Sombra's eyes connected with mine, and he roughly pulled Caramel Cream around to face me, the crystal breaking from the ground and tearing into her muscle in the process. I looked down at her and she stared back at me, tears in her eyes, pain the only thing she could register. I did this to her. It's all my fault...

"Look upon your mistake Y/N. Look upon this, this nothing, and tell me why she is more important than I am." He had regained his calm features but still held the storm in his eyes.

I couldn't speak. I could barely breathe. Nothing was making sense in my head.

"Tell me!" he roared, his chest rising and falling faster and faster as he lost his patience.

I could only choke out a stutter of a breath, tears running down my face.

Sombra let out a cry of anger and smashed his hoof down on Caramels back once more, a snarl returning to his face. His horn glowed brightly and his eyes grew wild. Before I could utter a word, sharp crystal had been pulled from the ground and sliced through my pegasus friends head.

She went limp.

My brain snapped.

I let out a scream of agony, all fear replaced with pain. As I struggled in the hold of his crystal, I didn't notice the binds being undone on Hazel until he was thrown down in front of me, Caramels body having been dragged away.

Sombra walked back over to me, my wails doing nothing but fuel him.
"I warned you of this. I warned you and you didn't listen." He raised his head and kissed my forehead.
"This is the only way I can quell any more thoughts of rebellion in my kingdom," he said, pressing our foreheads together, "and in you."
