I stayed sat there for what felt like hours. I could feel myself start to go pruny but I didn't want to get up. If I did, it would make me feel like I had to do something else, which would mean leaving the bathroom. It would mean meeting those guards incessant stares again. As I moved my hoof around, watching the silent ripples of the water, I heard something. It was a sound I knew all too well and I turned my head, motionlessly watching the bathroom window.

Somepony was screaming.

Quickly scrambling from the bath, I grabbed a towel and threw it over my back before trotting over to the window and peering down. The blood drained from my whole body and every part of me went numb. All I could hear was my heart pumping faster and faster. I couldn't look away.

Sombra grasped Caramel Cream's tail, pulling her onto a raised stage while Hazel and Cocoa looked on, tied up and terrified. He leaned down and whispered something into her ear before standing over her, fangs glinting.

I didn't waste a moment, tossing the towel to the side and barrelling into the bedroom. Breathing heavily, I looked around for the door and ran at it. I went sprawling to the floor. Standing up, I turned to a guard.

"Open this door!" I yelled, my heart in my throat.

"We are not allowed to-" he began, but my ears had begun to ring.

"Open this fucking door for Celestia's sake!"

He made no attempt to move so I jumped on him, ripping the keys from his belt and frantically trying each one in the keyhole.

"Ma'am you are not supposed to leave this room. Please, don't-"

"Shut up! Shut up, shut up, shut up!" I screamed, tears running down my face as adrenaline rushed through my veins. Finally, the door clicked open, and I bolted towards the stairs. Stumbling over my hooves, I crudely ran to the castle entrance. The doors opened when I shoved them, and I quickly made my way to the crowd of ponies in front of the stage. My eyes went from Hazel, slumped and breathing slowly, to Cocoa, eyes void of feeling, to Caramel, screaming as Sombra, eyes crazed, had begun to rip her wings from her sides. His demeanour seemed so calm, but everything in his eyes gave him away. This was the thing that gave him the most pleasure.

Another cutting scream from Caramel snapped me from my thoughts and before I could stop myself, I shot towards them. Swerving the guards, I crashed into the insane stallion, faltering whatever gruesome show was about to unfold. I saw red, my ears ringing so much I could hear nothing else. My heart was in my throat, my lungs, my hooves, everywhere. I was both furious and petrified all at once.

As the rage slowly quelled, I saw Sombra above me, caging me on the ground. His eyes were a storm of murderous anger and he grasped my mane, pulling me to my hooves. I watched as his horn glowed brightly, dark crystal rising from the ground at his command and encasing my body. I could only move my head to look at Cocoa for a second before his hoof pulled it back to face him. Sombra was panting, mouth curled into a snarl. Nothing showed in his eyes but pure, unfiltered rage. I meant naught to him in this moment. Naught but a significant onlooker.

"This is what happens when you collude with others, Y/N. This is what happens when I cannot trust my subjects."

He pulled my face closer, our muzzles almost touching, and I could feel his hot, unstable breath roll over my skin.

"This is what happens when you choose the wrong fucking side."
