I was kept in his hooves for what felt like an eternity. When he finally pulled me onto his back and began the trek to the empire, the barren wasteland was barren once again.

I didn't know what had happened to Celestia and her small army. I didn't want to. All I wanted to do was forget that I ever had a choice in the first place.

After an hour or so, we finally entered Sombra's kingdom. Guards and slaves alike stopped what they were doing to stare at me, until a well placed glare from the stallion holding me put them back to work. I didn't look at anypony. I knew what I would see anyway; disgust and disappointment.

Word won't have gotten around yet that I chose to come back. I hoped it never would. No one would forgive me for willingly slipping right back into his grasp, when I hold so much power over him. I've realised now that I am the one thing that can turn tides in the coming war. Whoever has access to me holds the cards in this game. And that pony is still Sombra. From what I can tell-

It will always be Sombra.

He whisked us quickly back to the bedroom I never thought I'd see again, placing me on familiar sheets that still put me on edge.

After kissing my forehead, he turned towards the door. "I'll have somepony bring you something to eat. No doubt you will be famished after this annoying fiasco. I will return later-" he faltered, turning back to me, something all too recognisable swirling in his eyes.
"There's something I need to take care of."

With that, he left swiftly, giving me one final glance before the door closed with a click.

I wasn't left alone for more than a few seconds as the door reopened and two guards entered the room.
"We've been told to make sure you stay in here," one of them said, nodding to me before they both took positions on either side of the room. I eyed them, an uncomfortable feeling growing within me. Surely he trusted me not to leave? I cautiously got up and went over to the bathroom, my gaze never leaving the two ponies. When I finally closed the bathroom door, I heaved a sigh. I thought this was a good decision...

Every so often I would peek through to see the ponies still there, eyes trained on the bathroom door. After half an hour I finally decided to have a bath.
I turned on the water and surveyed the array of soaps and hair supplies that I could only assume were owned by the previous residents...

Finally slipping into the steamy bowl, I let myself relax. I could feel the tension in my hooves drift away and my mental walls turn to dust. With every breath I floated away from reality and dreamed of being back home, without any overbearing responsibilities or world-shaping choices to make. I dreamed of my bedroom, small blue bed, cramped desk beside it. I dreamed of being under those covers, the familiar scent of home entering my nose, and as I turned my body around I would be met with a- hard, dark fur covered chest..?

My eyes shot open and I sat up in the water. Even dreaming of home didn't let me escape him...
