I woke up, groggily opening my eyes before seeing dark crystal surrounding me and falling out of bed. I scrambled up only to realise I wasn't in a cage and was still in the bedroom Sombra left me in yesterday.

Thank Celestia...

After checking to make sure Sombra wasn't here, I began to cautiously explore. The room on its own was huge, almost like it could have been converted from a ballroom-

Watching my step on the slightly jagged floor, I made my way over to the door I prayed wasn't the entrance. Who knows what horrors awaited me out there. Creaking open the dark crystal, I peered into the adjoining room only to find a large bathroom. A huge bath was carved into the centre of the floor, already filled with steaming water.

Staring at it in longing, I suddenly realised just how aching my joints were. Looking down at myself, covered in dirt and crusty blood, I sighed and walked over to the tub. I dipped my hoof in it and to my pleasant surprise, it was the perfect temperature. I slowly slipped into the water, letting out a sigh of relief as most of the dirt detached from my flank and mane.

For a millisecond, I forgot where I was.

Sitting in the bathtub, watching the water become a slightly murkier colour, I pondered my next move. I had never expected this to happen, never expected Sombra to actually go through with his plan after he'd gotten closer to me. I was completely unprepared for this. It wouldn't take long for him to realise something's up with me and force it from my mouth... And then what would he do? I remembered his warning; he said would hurt the people I cared about. I didn't think much of it when he first said it but now- it was a real threat.

I can't stop myself from flinching away from his touch and if that makes him mad- sweet Celestia I don't want to think what he'll do. I sank my body further into the murky bath, my muzzle only just above the waters surface.

From the silent bathroom, I heard the bedroom door open and confident hoof steps enter. Oh no please not yet... The bathroom door began to creak open and as soon as I caught a flash of red cape, I ducked under the water, using my wings to keep myself steady. The water was just dark enough to conceal me from him as he walked around the room, probably in search of me.

I heard the reverberating slam of the bathroom and bedroom doors, and I quickly came up, gasping for air, dripping wet all over. I didn't have long till he came back and I had to think of something, anything to make him not mad at me.

The truth is out of the question, right? I can't tell him that conquering an empire made me scared of him...

Maybe I could somehow- tiptoe around the truth? I mean, this is all new to me, and maybe my nervousness is just affecting everything?

That's- believable. Now I just have to stick to that script.
