Today Michael had a dentist appointment and (Y/n) was in charge of taking Michael. The only issue was Michael absolutely hated the dentist.

"No!" Michael shouted and ran to go hide when (Y/n) told him they had to go to the dentist. Luckily Michael wasn't good at hiding and hid under his bed. "You've gotta go to the dentist." (Y/n) told him, scooping him up from under the bed and taking him to the car. "But I don't wanna go!" He whined. "Mummy will be mad if we don't go. And I'll be with you the entire time." (Y/n) told his son. Michael went wide eyed and nodded since he hated when his mother was mad.

The drive to the dentists office was quick and before Michael knew it he was at the dentist sitting in the waiting room. (Y/n) signed all the paperwork while they waited for Michael's name to be called. Luckily there was a tv in the room so he got to watch some Lilo and Stitch before he was called in.

"Michael?" The nurse called out, waiting for him to walk into the back room where his chair was going to be. Michael and (Y/n) walked over to her and she let them into the room.

"Alright, come on in." The nurse told them and walked into the room. "I don't wanna." Michael mumbled and kept his feet firmly planted on the ground. "You gotta get in the chair. That way it's over faster and we can get ice cream!" (Y/n) bribed, but Michael shook his head. "No." He announced. "You don't want ice cream?" (Y/n) asked, and Michael shook his head. "I don't wanna go on the chair." The boy told his father.

For another ten minutes Michael refused to sit in the chair and clung onto his father. The only way Michael would get in that chair was if his father sat with him. "You sit with me." Michael whispered to his father. "You don't wanna sit on it by yourself?" (Y/n) asked, and Michael nodded. (Y/n) sat down on the dentist chair and then Michael sat on his lap, getting comfortable while the nurse put the paper necklace on him.

(Y/n) sent a quick text to Emma telling her how it was going so far and he found out that Michael having someone sit on the dentist chair with him was not a new thing. Apparently Emma always sits on the chair with him since he's utterly terrified of the dentist.

The nurse was a very nice lady and (Y/n) thought she was a very good nurse. She made sure Michael felt good about his checkup and told him everything she was doing when she cleaned his teeth.

However, once (Y/n) actually met the dentist he didn't blame Michael for hating to come here. The dentist was an alright guy, but there was something creepy about him. But Michael didn't really pay attention to the dentist, he just hated all the tools and such.

"Alright, you don't have any cavities! Good job buddy." The doctor complimented after checking his teeth. Michael nodded and tried getting out of the chair but the dentist held him back. "We're not done yet, just one more thing." The dentist told him, keeping the boy in his spot.

The last thing was Michael's least favorite, fluoride. While it was quick, it left a horrible lingering taste and he couldn't eat or drink anything for a half hour.

Once Michael was done he got off of the chair and waited patiently for his prize. He got to pick something out of a treasure chest full of small little toys. Michael ended up taking a small toy car.

The two boys had left the dentist and got in the car and decided to go get some lunch and ice cream. The first stop was lunch, where they both decided on McDonald's. Michael had picked it for two reasons. One, because he loved chicken nuggets. And two, he liked getting a toy in his happy meal.

After the two finished their meals, they made their way to the ice cream shop. And since Michael was so very brave at the dentist, he got the biggest ice cream sundae he had ever seen. Michael's jaw dropped when he saw it, and (Y/n) took a picture. He debated on sending it to Emma since he knew she would be angry and decided to send it to her anyway. Of course (Y/n) had some as well so Michael was never going to have the whole thing on his own.

The two boys had managed to finish about half of their ice cream sundae. Emma also hadn't gotten as mad as (Y/n) thought she would, probably because she knew they wouldn't ever come close to finishing it.

By the time they both got home, Michael was falling asleep. "Guess who has zero cavities?" (Y/n) asked Emma. "Michael." She responded, and (Y/n) nodded. "Yep! Zero!" Michael nodded sleepily, giving his dad a high five. Emma scooped up her son and sat him down on the couch and let him turn on the Tv.

Michael only got twenty minutes into his movie before falling asleep on top of Emma. She looked up from her book and saw Michael sleeping on her lap before taking him upstairs to nap.
