"(Y/n)! For the last time, pay attention." The teacher told (Y/n) when he had caught him messing around with his pencil. Emma looked over at him and held his hand under the table.

"Look, can I just go get some water? When I come back I'll be fine and can finish my work." (Y/n) asked, knowing he had to just get up and move around and then he could go back to his work. "No. You will stay here and do your work." The teacher told him sternly. (Y/n) rolled his eyes at the teacher before muttering something under his breath and going back to work.

Emma stroked his hand under the table and went back to doing her work, making (Y/n) feel a tiny bit better. She mouthed 'I love you' to him when they looked at each other and he mouthed it back. He started to do his work again before he saw something out the window.

He caught a glimpse of Dan and Rupert doing their quidditch scenes and began to watch, not noticing his teacher glare. Emma tried to get (Y/n)'s attention before the teacher could, but he had zoned out and didn't hear her whispering.

"(Y/n) (L/n) I told you to pay attention!" The teacher shouted, breaking him out of his moment. "And I told you to just let me get some water and then I would do it!" (Y/n) responded. The teacher walked out of the room in a huff so (Y/n) took that time to run and grab some water before coming back.

Once he got back the teacher still wasn't there and he got right back to his work. "What is going on?" David Yates asked as him and the teacher walked outside.

"Nothing." (Y/n) responded while filling out his sheet. "That boy refused to do his work!" The teacher shouted. "Calm down, I'm sure we can fix this. He's doing his work right now." David responded calmly.

"He's a horrible student!" The teacher told David. "No he isn't. You just don't let him get the help he needs." Emma butted in. Both of them looked at her and David nodded while the teacher scoffed. "No, the boy just wants to skip class." The teacher responded.

"No he doesn't. He has adhd. He just needs to go and go for a walk sometimes to clear his head. It's worked before in the past and all the other teachers never seemed to mind it." Emma told them both.

"Okay, you guys are excused. We're going to have a chat." David told the two students before telling the teacher to stay here. Emma and (Y/n) left the room before going to watch Dan and Rupert finish their scenes.

"Thank you for standing up for me." (Y/n) mumbled while they walked. Emma kissed his cheek in response. "I'll always stand up for you. I love you." She told him. "Love you too, Em." He told her before they spent the rest of the day with their friends.
