Florence was waiting at Emma and (Y/n)'s house and watering their plants. Florence was watching the house while they were at the hospital. Emma had just given birth and had to stay for a few days and (Y/n) was with her and the baby.
Today was the day they were bringing Michael home, and Florence was excited to meet her nephew. She didn't know anything yet, so it would be a surprise on what his name was and who he looked like already.
The door unlocked and opened. Florence jumped up to see her brother and Emma walk in the house with a carrier. "Hi!" (Y/n) mouthed while waving.
(Y/n) took off his jacket and took the carrier while Emma took off her jacket. He set the carrier down very lightly and took the baby out of it. "Sit down and you can hold him." He whispered to his sister.
Florence sat down on the couch and (Y/n) walked over and sat down next to her. He passed the baby into Florence's arms carefully and gave her the run down on how to hold him.
"Oh my gosh. He's so adorable." Florence whispered while staring down at the baby in her arms. "Florence, meet Michael Christopher Watson-(L/n)." Emma introduced while sitting on the other side of Florence.
"I want to keep him!" Florence cooed, while watching Michael squirm a bit before getting comfortable. "No, he's mine." Emma told her, giving her a glare. "Sorry, I didn't mean it. He's your baby." Florence gave in after seeing her glare. Emma took Michael back when he started to fuss, indicating he was hungry.
"So, Michael is very cute." Florence told (Y/n) when she walked into the kitchen. "He looks exactly like Emma. He's got my eyes though which is nice." (Y/n) responded and started to make them tea.
"Why the name Michael? I understand the middle name cause it's Emma's dads name, but where did you get Michael?" Florence asked. "We we're choosing between Michael and Jackson because we liked both of those names. But then when he was born we both thought he looked like a Michael and chose that name." (Y/n) explained.
"Yeah, he's not really a Jackson." Florence agreed. The two made their tea and went back out. They sat down on the couch and saw Emma had left.
They spent a few minutes just talking about Florence's new project, black widow, before Emma came back downstairs. She didn't have Michael with her so both of them concluded he was asleep.
"So, how was giving birth?" Florence asked to make conversation. "Painful." Emma responded while drinking some of the tea (Y/n) had made her. "I bet." He mumbled. "How long did it take?" Florence questioned.
"Ten hours. Got to the hospital at six am, had Michael at four pm." Emma told her. (Y/n) nodded and mouthed to Florence 'she's exhausted' while Emma wasn't looking. "Do you want to take a nap?" (Y/n) asked his wife. Emma nodded and he took her upstairs to sleep, leaving Florence in the living room quickly.
"Okay, just you and me Flo." (Y/n) told his sister while he walked downstairs. After twenty minutes of talking about new projects and things, Michael had woken up. (Y/n) ran upstairs before Emma could even hear Michael cry and got him out of his crib.
"Let's go downstairs and see Flo." (Y/n) told Michael and they went downstairs. "Can you hold him real quickly? I have to heat his milk. I guess babies don't like cold milk." (Y/n) asked his sister, who eagerly nodded. Florence took Michael from him and (Y/n) went into the kitchen to go heat up Michael's bottle.
When Emma came back downstairs, she saw (Y/n) feeding Michael while talking to his sister. "Does Oliver even know?" Florence asked. (Y/n) nodded and explained without looking away from his son. "He does, he's just really busy I guess. He's got a job as a science teacher at some public school now."
Emma saw that Michael was well taken care of and went back upstairs to get some more sleep. Florence left a few minutes later, so (Y/n) and Michael hung out together while Emma slept, having some father and son bonding time.
