Today Michael was going to learn how to swim. (Y/n) was insistent on teaching Michael himself and Emma was just watching.

"Make sure to put his floaties on!" Emma called out when (Y/n) and Michael stepped out of the house and walked to the poolside. "I will!" (Y/n) called back, taking Michael to the chair and getting out the floaties.

Once Michael was all sunscreened and had all of his floaties on he was ready to go. (Y/n) got in the pool first and then grabbed Michael and set him in the pool.

Michael didn't really seem to mind it. He just sat there and had his floaties and his father keep him afloat. Emma took a few pictures while (Y/n) was getting Michael to try and use his arms to keep himself up.

He was able to do it for a few minutes before (Y/n) had to help. Michael got to swim around the pool with his fathers help, never going into the deep end. They only stayed in the shallow end otherwise Emma would not be happy.

After about twenty minutes Michael was done and wanted to get out. (Y/n) handed him to Emma and stayed in the pool for a bit longer. Michael sat by the edge with Emma's supervision and watched his father swim around in the pool.

Once (Y/n) was done swimming he took Michael inside and made sandwiches. They both sat outside in the grass and had a picnic together while Emma took photos of the two of them.

The rest of the day was spent as a family day in the summer sun.
