Michael and Sadie had recently started dating and nobody knew. Michael figured his parents knew he was dating someone, just not Sadie. The only reason why people didn't know was because Sadie is one of Charlottes best friends. They had a bit of an age gap but they hung out a lot. And Michael was friends with Sadie too, but not as much as Charlotte. He was closer with Millie and Noah.

"Are you sure we shouldn't tell people?" Michael asked Sadie while they were out on a date. They currently were at a small restaurant near the stranger things set. "Charlotte would freak out. And I  know she will want me to choose either her or you and I can't choose between the two of you." Sadie reasoned. "I guess. But she's gonna find out eventually." Michael mumbled.

Michael was right, Charlotte did find out eventually. She found out the next week when she caught Michael and Sadie making out in his room.

"What the hell?!" Charlotte shouted, making Michael and Sadie stop kissing and jump apart, both of their eyes wide. "We can explain!" Michael told her, getting off of his bed. "Really Michael? You had to date one of my best friends! You couldn't choose to date anyone else?!" She continued.

"Charlotte please just listen..." Sadie started but got cut off. "Absolutely not. You have men lining up to date you and you chose my brother?! Why can't I just have you to myself?" Charlotte ranted.

"You're still one of my best friends! Please just hear me out." Sadie begged. "No, just go away. Get out." Charlotte seethed. Sadie got up and left the house, soon followed by Michael, but not before he said a few words to his sister. "Why can't you just be happy for us?" He asked before rushing out the door to catch up to his girlfriend.

"What happened?" (Y/n) asked when he walked into Charlottes room. "Michael and Sadie are dating! I caught them making out in his room! But Sadie's one of my best friends." Charlotte explained through sobs. "You can still be friends with her." (Y/n) reasoned. "But it'll be weird! She's dating my brother, it's awkward." She explained.

"Well, maybe you can push past that. If she's one of your best friends isn't she worth going through the weird part?" (Y/n) explained. "But why did she have to choose Michael?" Charlotte whispered, burying her head into her fathers chest as he rubbed her back.

"They make each other happy. Have you ever seen Sadie this happy? From what you and Michael told me she always seems pretty stressed and tired, but now you two always tell me how happy she is. Don't you think Michael has something to do with that? And have you ever seen Michael this happy too? Sure he's always been happy but he just seems a lot brighter these days, and I think it's because they have each other." (Y/n) told her.

"Well, I guess. Sadie is pretty happy. And I guess Michaels been alright." Charlotte mumbled. Meanwhile while (Y/n) and Charlotte were talking, Michael was having a freak out on his own.

"She probably hates me! I didn't mean to hurt her feelings! Am I a horrible brother? Maybe I am." Michael rambled as he paced around the room. He was currently at Sadie's house and freaking out over the incident. "It'll be fine! Charlotte will understand, she just needs a few minutes to cool down." Sadie reassured while getting Michael to sit down.

Michael eventually came back home and walked into Charlottes room. He knocked on her door before walking into her room. "Can we talk?" Michael asked. "Sure." Charlotte nodded. "I'm sorry for not telling you. Sadie didn't want to freak you out and then make her choose between the two of us." He mumbled while sitting down on her bed. "It's okay, I'm glad your happy with Sadie." Charlotte whispered. "Thanks. I'm sorry I didn't tell you but I really wanted to." Michael added.

"Are you in love with her?" Charlotte asked and Michael shrugged. "I dunno. I'm always happy around her. Like I'm on top of the world all the time whenever she's around." He explained. "You probably are in love with her." Charlotte concluded. "Do you like anyone?" Michael asked.

"Kind of." Charlotte mumbled. "Who is he?" Michael questioned. "Well, it's not really a boy." She whispered. "Who is it then?" He asked. "Promise you won't tell anyone?" She questioned. "Promise." Michael smiled.

"Well, you know Jules? She comes around to hang out sometimes." Charlotte started. "Jules LeBlanc?" Michael clarified. "Yeah, her. I have a crush on her I guess." She nodded. "Cool. But what about Noah? I thought you liked him." He wondered. "I like both of them." Charlotte answered simply. "So you're bisexual? That's cool, am I the first person you told?" Michael told her. "Yeah. Don't tell mom and dad. Please." Charlotte said, putting her pinky out. "Pinky promise. Your secrets safe with me." Michael smiled and interlocked their pinkies.

Michael left the room and went into his bedroom. He lied on his bed before pulling out his phone and FaceTiming Sadie. They spent the next few hours on FaceTime before Michael had to hang up and eat dinner.

Everyone was supportive of Michaels relationship and he kept his promise to Charlotte, letting her tell their parents about her sexuality when she was ready.
