(Y/n) had just gotten a new sports car, a Ferrari, and he wanted to keep it clean and neat the best he could. However that meant Michael wasn't allowed near the car since he was a toddler and toddlers can be messy.

When Emma heard Michael wasn't allowed near it, she knew this was going to be a nightmare and some incident would happen.

(Y/n) and Michael were outside playing catch in the driveway. Michael was getting better at throwing the ball, meaning it actually left his hands and rolled about two feet. Emma was sitting on one of the chairs outside watching them and reading her book since it was a nice day and the weather was good.

The sports car was right next to the boys playing catch but nobody thought anything would go near the car since Michael could barely even throw the ball.

(Y/n) had rolled the ball back to Michael and the boy picked it up. He went to go throw it again but it didn't go too far and instead rolled near the Ferrari. Michael did his little speed waddle that he considers to be running to go get it. While he was going to get it he accidentally tripped and fell, bumping his head on the car.

"Shit!" (Y/n) groaned and ran over, Emma looking over at them as soon as she heard Michael cry. "My car! Michael! What did you do?!" (Y/n) shouted after seeing the tiny dent in the car, making Michael only cry louder.

Emma came over and scooped up Michael, making sure he was okay. "What happened?" Emma asked Michael in a baby voice. (Y/n) rolled his eyes at the two before going back to his car, inspecting the dent that was now on the door of the car.

"Did you bump your head?" Emma continued fussing over Michael while giving him kisses all over the top of his head, while (Y/n) fussed over his car.

Emma noticed how (Y/n) hadn't even made sure Michael was okay before crying over how his car had a tiny dent in it. Once Michael had calmed down a bit, small whines and sniffles only being heard as he kept his head buried in his mothers chest, Emma spoke up.

"I'm going inside with Michael. And you better believe I'm going to have a talk with you later." Emma told him with an angry tone. (Y/n) just waved them off as he ran his hand over the dent and talked to himself about how to fix it.

Emma went inside and sat with Michael for a few minutes, playing with the soft brown hair on his head and giving him kisses all over his face. Eventually (Y/n) came back inside with a defeated look on his face. Emma rolled her eyes at him and put her attention back on Michael as he slowly fell asleep.

Once Michael fell asleep and Emma put him in his crib to take a nap, she dragged (Y/n) outside by the ear. "Ow! Emma! Stop it!" (Y/n) whined as she dragged him outside and closed the door behind them.

"You are an idiot! You care about some stupid sports car more than your own son?! What the hell is wrong with you?!" Emma shouted, making (Y/n) wince. "It's an expensive car!" He defended, but Emma wasn't having any of it. "I don't care how much that car was! Your son got hurt and you cared about the car more than him! All over a small dent nobody will notice! If you're going to keep being like this I will return that car myself." Emma scolded. "Fine. I'm sorry." (Y/n) grumbled. "Good. Now when Michael wakes up you apologize to him too." Emma told him and he nodded.

A few hours later Michael had woken back up from his nap and Emma let him play in his playpen that was in the living room. While Michael was playing with his toys (Y/n) walked in and Emma gave him a look that meant to go apologize. (Y/n) scooped Michael out of his playpen and interrupting his playtime, making the boy fuss and squirm in his fathers arms.

"I'm very sorry for caring more about my car than your injury. I love you more than my car." (Y/n) apologized and gave Michael a kiss on the cheek before letting him go back to his toys.

Once (Y/n) got the dent in the car fixed Emma made him go return it. She didn't want (Y/n) to care more about his expensive sports car than his family, so her and (Y/n) agreed it would be best if he returned it.

However, (Y/n) did buy Michael a tiny kids Ferrari he got at the toy store so his son could drive and as an 'I'm sorry for caring about my car too much' gift. He was only allowed to drive it with Emma or (Y/n)'s supervision, but at least one family member had a Ferrari even though it was made of plastic.

Michael obviously didn't care about the car getting ruined since he was so little and didn't understand material things like that yet, but him and (Y/n) always had fun whenever Michael would ride it and have (Y/n) push the car around for him.
