Daenerys Targaryen

I read through some report in my chamber. They talk about the increased tension between the freedmen and the people that were born free. Many more people have been killed. I am uncertain how to proceed, and the games are starting soon as well. Alex has still to wake from his sleep. Whatever he did, it caused him to sleep for almost two days. During the time, I sit near the bed to keep an eye on him in case something happens. But it seems he is sleeping peacefully.

I sigh and stand up to look out the window. If Alex wakes up and is feeling fine, we will marry next week. Furthermore, the little one growing inside me has also started kicking. In two to three months, our child will be born. It makes me happy to know that the child is alive. For a long time I was worried about being unable to bear children or that they would be stillborn like Rhaego. For now, the pregnancy is going as it should be, and the midwives could not find any signs of possible complications. As I look at Meereen, it gives off a peaceful look from up here, you almost forget what is happening down below.

"Dany?" Alex calls out. I turn to look at the bed and see Alex rubbing his eyes. He looks around a bit confused. "What happened?" he asks with a raspy voice. I smile as I take a seat next to him. "Love, I'm glad to see you awake. Whatever you did, it took a lot out of you. You slept for almost two days," I explained. "Two days..." he mumbles, shocked.

"How do you feel, Alex. Does anything hurt?" I ask with concern. He shakes his head. "No, nothing hurts. I feel fine, perhaps a bit hungry and thirsty," he says and looks at me. "I'm sorry for worrying you, Dany. I thought it wouldn't be that bad in the city already." I softly smile as I worm my way next to him under the sheets. "You're safe and sound now. That's what matters. So, water magic? You're quite the gifted man, it seems. You can ride dragons and now control water. It seems I am quite the lucky woman," I teased.

Alex chuckles as he snuggles in my side while placing a gentle hand on my bulging belly. "I feel lucky myself, Dany. But this water power. I am not sure where it came from. A female voice spoke to me and said to 'reach out'. When I did, it felt like I was near a powerful river. Do you know what this means?" Alex asks. "We think it is because of your Rhoynar blood. As to who the woman is... I have no idea. Perhaps you should see if the library has any answers for you," I suggested. He nods as his head snuggles into the crook of my neck.

"Maybe later, I'd like to sleep with you, my love. I missed your warmth," Alex mumbles as he slowly starts to fall asleep once more. "I'm not going anywhere. Sleep," I say soothingly and warmly. He nods with a smile as he falls back asleep.

Aegon "Alex" Targaryen ~ two days later ~ Council meeting

"What's the situation, Grey Worm?" I ask him in Valyrian. "The situation is under control, but more attacks occur in the city. Freedmen and Unsullied are the targets most often," he says. I pinch the bridge of my nose. This is just like the show, and I couldn't stop it. "What have you learned from the Harpies?" Daenerys asks.

Barristan sighs. "They hardly know anything. All communication goes through secrets messages or signs. We have no leads," Barristan says. "How can we find those responsible? Do you have any insights, my lord?" Missandei asks me. "As I explained, I have no idea who is behind the group. If I have to guess, it consists of several people, but who? I do not remember."

"We have to do something. If this keeps going, we will suffer major causalities. We need the men for conquering Westeros," Jorah says. Daenerys thinks for a moment. "Can we set a trap? Lure them out in the open and take them by surprise?" She suggests. I slowly nod in agreement. "We could. The season of the games are almost upon us. We have not allowed them yet, perhaps we can allow them to start and use the final fights as our stage?" I propose to the group.

"It's possible, but will they not see that coming?" Missandei argues. "True, but Hizdahr is coming back. If the events play out similarly, he will come back with a compromise. The masters will step down if we allow the return of pit fighting it's only a temporary peace, but it will give us breathing room to deal with the Harpies," I explained. "If that is true, our plan could work. The only thing to figure out is what the Harpies will do," Jorah contemplates. "They will also use the Great Games as their 'trap', but we will be waiting for them instead. A reverse trap so to say," I answer.

"This could be what we were waiting for. If we take them down there, we could break their resolve," Barristan says. "Indeed. Grey Worm, gather the most loyal and trustworthy of the Unsullied and train them to blend in with the citizens. Ask Daario for help when he gets back. We need to infiltrate the crowd to take them by surprise," Daenerys says.

"Good thinking. Also, we need to keep an eye out for Tyrion. He will arrive within the next couple of weeks, but he should find his way here without major problems, I hope. When he is here, he will get the city back in shape. We need trade and commerce back in the city," I say to everyone. "Anything else, we need to discuss?"

Daenerys begins to smile. "Yes, we do. In three days, Aegon and I will have our marriage ceremony. You are all invited, of course. Since the city is unsafe for any ceremony, we will hold it in the Pyramid. Missandei has been organizing the event. If you have any question, please, let her know," She says as she turns to me. Everyone seems to be smiling softly as they nod in understanding. "Good. If anything else arises, let us know," Daenerys says and stands up from her chair. "Love, I'll walk with you. Do you want to go to the gardens?" I ask. She nods, softly smiling at me. Daenerys takes hold of my arm, and we walk in the direction of the gardens. "I have something to discuss with you. Nothing worrisome, I assure you."

"What is on your mind, Alex?" Daenerys asks. "Tyrion will not be alone when he arrives. Varys will be there as well," I say as we turn the corner. Daenerys sighs. "Is he trustworthy?" She asks. I shrug. "I don't know. What I do know is that he is extremely useful. His spies will help us figure out who the ones behind the Harpies are. It will make it easier to defeat them," I explained. "Hmm, that's good, I suppose. However, I don't trust him. He received information about me for years. Did the bidding of those that wanted me dead. I can't ignore that he might go behind my back," Daenerys says. "We can see how things go. But he will be useful to figure out who's behind the Harpies," I say as we enter the gardens.

"I guess you're right about that. So, Alex, I think we need to talk about names," Daenerys starts to say. She gently guides my hand to her belly. "Our child has started kicking, and we have not talked about a name. Do you have any in mind?" She asks. As if on cue, I feel movement in Daenerys' belly. A large smile forms on my face. "Hmm, if it is a girl... perhaps Rhaella? After your mother?" I propose, smiling at Daenerys. She nods, smiling approvingly. "I like that. And what if it is a boy?"

"Well, I don't know. How about you decide the name for the boy, since I decided the girl's name?" Daenerys looks at the various flowering plants and trees as she thinks deeply for a moment. "Willem. I think I would like to name him Willem," she says. "Willem? Was that someone you knew?" I ask.

Daenerys nods. "He was the man that saved me and my brother from death. Willem was always kind to me when I was young. The man was a sweet old bear." I give her arm an affectionate squeeze. "Willem, it is then. I expected a lot more discussion about names," I chuckled. "True, but we aren't like most couples. We are the weirdest duo in this world."
