Aegon Targaryen - council meeting

"It was just as Aegon said, Hizdahr came back with a compromise. The masters want to reopen the fighting pits," Daenerys says. "Indeed. How are things going with the training, Grey Worm?" I ask the commander. A small sigh leaves Grey Worm. "It is more difficult than I thought. We are not trained to sneak around," he says. I nod in understanding. They are pure warriors, not men for the shadows. I do not blame them.

Jorah rubs his chin in thought. "How about the Second Sons? Perhaps they are more suited for infiltrating the crowd?" He says. "It's definitely easier for them... what do you think, Daenerys? Do you trust them to do the job?" I ask. Daenerys sighs as she thinks for a moment. "I do think they will be able to do it. As long as they follow Daario's orders, they can most likely pull it off," she says. I lean back in the chair. "Very well, Jorah could you inform Daario?" I ask. Jorah nods. "I will."

"Good. What news do we have about Tyrion and Varys?" Daenerys asks. "There have been no sightings of them in Meereen. But I suspect they will be arriving soon. If they follow the same path that I did to find you, it will probably be in the next few days," Barristan says. "Good. Is that all we have to discuss?" Daenerys asks. "I believe that is it, Your Grace," Missandei says. Both I and Daenerys stand up. "Then we will leave it at this. Have a good morning everyone." As everyone goes their separate ways, Daenerys and I make our way to our room.

Rhaella seems to be a happy child. She always makes happy sounds and tries to grab our fingers when they get in reach. It is absolutely adorable the way she acts. Daenerys is over the moon as she spends every opportunity she has with her. Daenerys often holds Rhaella in a warm embrace, tells her stories of when she was little, or sings her to sleep. Rhaella enjoys every second of it. I join them every time, but I can't sing so I leave that part to Daenerys. It is very clear to me as I watch Daenerys and Rhaella interact with each other. Daenerys is the epiphany of a loving mother. Rhaella couldn't ask for a better mother if you ask me.

"Alex?" Daenerys asks. God, it has been such a long time since I heard my own name. I almost did not react. "Yes, Dany?" I ask. "Is our child safe here? I want to be absolutely sure she is safe in this pyramid," she says. I let out a deep sigh. "Dany, you never had a child in the story I knew. You stood alone against the world. The only ones at your side were Daario, Jorah, Missandei, Grey Worm, and Tyrion. But I think you never truly trusted anyone. So, I have no idea. Why do you think I wanted such heavy security at the place we sleep? I will not let anything happen to our child or you."

Daenerys smiles as her cheeks redden slightly. "I see. Thank you, Aegon. I truly love you with my whole heart. I hope you know that," she says as she takes hold of my arm. "I know, and I put my heart in your hands," I say without any hesitation or doubt. Daenerys smiles wider as she glances at me with a loving gaze. "That... means a lot to me. I wish you came into this world sooner. It would have saved me so much pain," she says softly. "I can't change the past, but I can certainly heal your wounds, Dany. Pain is sometimes necessary to find happiness," I say comfortingly. "How have you not married someone? You are such a charming person, Alex."

I shrug. "Marriage is not the standard in my country anymore. Also, I was deployed far away from my home. It does not help in finding someone, but I have you now. And I am very happy to have you as my lifelong partner," I answer. Daenerys chuckles as she playfully bumps into my shoulder. "Such a charming man. You better be careful or we will have a second child in no time." I shrug with a smile. "Is that so bad?" Daenerys laughs. "You say that now... so, what is on tomorrow's schedule?" she asks. "It seems we will have to visit some of these fighting pits according to Hizdahr. You don't have to if you would rather not," I say with a slight sigh.

Daenerys runs a hand through her hair as we enter our room. "I don't like seeing people fight each other for fun. At least no one will get killed..." she sighs. I wrap my arm around her waist and squeeze affectionately. "I share your opinion. At least it is only for two weeks or so," I say. Daenerys nods as she walks straight towards Rhaella.
