Aegon Targaryen

The tent of Daenerys and me is large, well furnished and well decorated. Jorah and several Unsullied that went with us take turns guarding it. I have never felt such comfort in a tent before. The chairs are comfortable enough to sleep in. Our bed is soft and fluffy. Being king certainly has its perks.

As Tyrion is busy with peace talks, I lounge with Daenerys in our tent. There is not much else to do. The siege is well organized by Randyll and other commanders. We have no military battles that we need to fight in. It is almost as if we are not fighting a war for a whole continent.

Daenerys currently lies in bed and uses my stomach as her pillow while reading something. I try to read a book as well that talks about the various lands in Westeros. It seems like a logical choice to know a bit more about the country you will rule. However, I find myself drawn to Daenerys as I just look at her peaceful appearance. Her soft humming as she reads. Her finger moves to the edge of the page and flips it. As it is flipped, her eyes glances at me. "See something you like?" she asks with a soft smirk. I smile brightly. "No," I answer. Daenerys raises an eyebrow. "Oh? What do you see then?"

"I see something I absolutely love," I say in return with a bright smile. Daenerys rolls her eyes as her cheeks turns slightly red. "You and your words..." she chuckles. I lean back as a breath leaves me. "How do you feel, Dany?"

"Good. I mean, it is a shame that Cersei died. It would have made the power transition much easier. But, if these talks are genuine, that is fine as well. It will all be over soon. That is what makes it feel right," she says. My hand finds it way to her arm and I begin to stroke it.

"I feel the same. There is already too much death in this world. Sparing as many as we can feels correct and just. To save the grief of men, woman, and child. I just hope we are able to defeat the walking dead..." I say with a sigh. Daenerys closes the book, puts it aside and turns to face me. "We will win, love. If we Targaryens proved one thing, it is that we are deadly and not easily defeated," she says, smiling.

I nod and cup Daenesys cheeks and lean over to deliver a deep kiss. She was all too eager as she leans in herself. "Hmm, you've gotten good at kissing, dear. You sucked in the beginning," Daenerys says. "Yeah, yeah, rub my virgin past in my face, why don't you," I chuckle. That made Daenerys laugh.

She repositioned herself so she is sitting on me. "Oh, husband of mine... What am I going to do with you?" Daenerys asks in a low, seductive tone. I must have a wide smile on my face as her body is on full display. "Dany..." I whimper out. This magical moment is shattered as we hear a voice coming from outside.

"Your Grace, I have news regarding the peace talks," Tyrion says through the curtain entrance. Daenerys let out a groan of frustration. "Seven hells, Tyrion..." Daenerys cursed as she gets off bed to get dressed. "Give us a few minutes, Tyrion. We will call you when we are ready. Is it at least good news?" I call out. "It is, Your Grace. We will discuss it when you're ready." Soft footsteps follow and become fainter as Tyrion walks away.

"This will leave me frustrated for the rest of the day," Daenerys says irritated. "There is always the night, lovely wife," I chuckle. Daenerys scoffs. "You better make me feel good."

Tyrion sits down as he fills a cup with wine. "I apologize for interrupting earlier. It was poorly timed, it seems," he says, as he glances at a frustrated Daenerys. She rolls her eyes. "What did they say and demand, Tyrion."

"That is the good news, Your Grace. They are very willing to surrender as they see no alternative. The only demand they have is that they walk away free, no matter the crimes they have committed in the past," Tyrion explains and sips from his cup.

"Of what exactly? I cannot let them walk free if they committed mass murder or terror," Daenerys says with a stern voice. "I have talked to Varys. The people it concerns are only minor offenses. Corruption, fraud, and stealing from the crown are most common," Tyrion says.

Daenerys rubs her temple. "I can look past those crimes, but make sure they are removed from the capital and that all items are returned or compensated," she says. She has improved so much in forgiving people. The anger she held when we met is almost not visible anymore. It makes my love and admiration for her soar to new heights.

"Very well, I will make sure they know. It seems you will be king and queen in a matter of weeks. How do you feel?" Tyrion asks us. "Determined to make life better for my people. I want to give those under my rule the hope I missed when I was little. And to give my children a country they can love. That they will grow up in a country that is free with boundless opportunities. That is pretty much how I feel about this," Daenerys says.

Tyrion smiles. "That... is a mindset that many rulers lack. I am honored to be your Hand, Your Grace. What about you?" He asks me. "I have no idea. You know where I am from, what I was. This is exciting yet scary. But most of all, I think I will like the peace. Spending time with my family. That what I really want," I say. "There is nothing wrong in wishing for a simple life, Aegon. I think that is what most people want. Well, I will... let you get back to your... previous business. Have a good afternoon," Tyrion says.

He drinks his cup empty, and leaves our tent. "I am glad everything is settled peacefully, Dany. It worried me how much people would die for nothing," I say. "I know, I feel the same. But... Tyrion made an excellent suggestion, dear..."

I look towards an approaching Daenerys that is taking confident steps towards me. Her eyes look glossed over with a haze. In a quick pace that crosses the small distance that was between us. I swallow a little and feel my heart quicken. She grabs my shirt to drag me back to bed. It is at this moment I realized, I will never be on top...
