Mates were given by the Queen of Spirits. The female ruler of the spirit realm that took two flowers, both intoxicated with a spell of love and lust. Taking these flowers, she fed the very first wolves with them. From then on, even as forms and species of wolves varied, the spell would flourish and create an unexplainable profound love between them.

The Princess of the Spirits, however, was born young and rebellious. Upon finding her mother's spells, the young girl had taken them to play. Some spells were unleashed, some good and some bad. A spell of strength was placed upon some wolves, making them become the strongest and the leaders of the pack. A spell of shift was given to some, allowing them the gift and curse of shifting between both human and wolf.

The last spell was able to be nulled by the Queen before it could ever take place. It was a strong bond between a wolf and a human. At that time, animals and humans didn't co-exist, except for the werewolves the Princess created, or the mates given by the Queen. But, centuries later, when the Queen had taken her last breath, the null had broken like thin glass and the spell awoken.

When Yunho entered the Solis pack grounds, he felt the rush of adrenaline soar in his veins. His heart rate had quicken, beating excitedly as his once peaceful wolf had stirred within him. The scent of cherry blossoms filled him completely as his pack inched closed closer to the golden gates before him.

She's here.

He attempted to hide his smile, wondering if he would be gifted the chance to go scout for his wonderful mate. He just could feel her presence behind the bars that were put up between them, and he wanted to end the distance.

The gates had opened, the large form of people standing before it to welcome his. They all smiled, allowing Yunho's pack to gradually enter the small village. As they did so, his eyes fluttered amongst the visitors to see if anyone matched the mate pull he was feeling.

"Welcome, Stone pack," the Alpha of Solis says proudly. "We are glad you made it safely."

Yunho came up empty. "Thank you for having us here," he says lowly, as if his attention was obviously somewhere else. "Pardon me asking, but is there someone else in this village not here at the moment?"

Alpha Solis visibly paled. "Well, yes. My daughter and the children are around back."

Yunho nods. "Oh." Changing his mind, he faces the other Alpha and shakes his hand. "It had been quite some time, Miran. My father spoke great words of you when he was still alive."

To this, Alpha Solis sighed of relief and began to chat with Yunho, grabbing his attention away from the missing people of the gathering and taking him towards the large house. Yunho waved his pack off, allowing them to relax and find a place to stay amongst those who offered housing.

A few feet from the large home, Yunho pauses. "May I officially greet everyone, before I brush them off to speak with you? I'm afraid my reputation may get riddled if I don't."

The Alpha of Solis slightly smiled. "If anyone dared speak I'll of you, I wouldn't leave it simply. But of course, you have your ways." The Alpha seemed hesitant, but he moved away from his home towards the back where the other villagers homed were. Each housing was placed to face the back of the Alpha's, making a large circle of homes with plantation in between.

The two walked, speaking about both their package with pride and accomplishment. It had been long over due for the two packs to collide for a visit, especially since this time, there was no war to be fought.

Yunho was struggling to be still. His wolf was wild, anxious to get closer to the addicting smell that was his mate. He too was curious and excited, wondering if he was truly going to find her.

The stopped in the middle of the plantation, a few feet away from a group of young children playing. They ran around, laughing and giggling as they chased one another through the grass. A woman stood, holding a small baby within her arms, watching the children play. Yet her eyes seemed to be more searching.

Alpha Solis grinned. "That is my wife over there. She protects the children often and plays with them here. Both her and my daughter."

Yunho nods. He follows the woman's line of direction, noticing a thin wisp of hair peaking out behind a tree not to far away. His heart fluttered as the wind blew, the scent of his mate wafting in the air.

"Found you!" A child yells, giggling loudly while running behind the same tree. Out popped a woman, running away from the child with a large smile on her face.

"You'll never catch me alive!" The woman laughs, running towards the other children. The large group of young wolves suddenly stop playing, all watching as the woman passed before they started to chase her as well.

"Darling!" Alpha of Solis, Miran, calls out. "I want you to meet-"

Yunho started to walk forward, causing Miran to stop. His eyes were on the woman who ran cheerfully, her scent flowing towards him and his wolf growled. He grinned her way, trying hard to fight away his wolf that commanded he go to her.

The Queen of Spirits made her for us!

The woman slows down a bit, noticing the presence of others and waving. Miran, her father, waved back.

"Yunho, this is my daughter Yoo Rin."

Yoo Rin talks gently down to the children before walking to her mother. She takes the baby from her arms, placing a kiss on it's forehead before coming up to her father.

Miran became nervous. "Yoo Rin, this is Alpha-"

Her eyes met Yunho's in that moment, causing her heart to stop. "My mate," she whispers in the wind, a smile on her face. "You are really my mate!"

Yunho looks at the child in her arms. He meets her midway, smiling at her as well. "My name is Yunho."

Yoo Rin notices his gaze on the baby. "This is Amara. She's my daughter," she confesses, causing her father to pale again. "A human. I found her months back, alone and abandoned."

Miran was surprised to hear his daughter confess that so easily, when normally she wouldn't spare two words for anyone else. She simply would say that the baby was hers, and no one second guessed it because they sensed the bond. The bond created by a spell from the Princess of spirits.

Yunho reaches his hands for the baby. "Amara?" He repeats hesitantly.

Yunho was immediately in love with child, knowing that the bond his late had with it. His heart fluttered at the idea of his mate being so caring and wonderful with children.

Yoo Rin holds his arm. "She is my everything."

Yunho breathed heavily, everything he always wanted was right there before him. He couldn't believe that he was finally able to meet his one true love, and here she was with a special child she nurtured and cared for.
