"You've got me all wrong," I say while shaking my head. The pure look of disappointment etched across their faces allowed the fear in me to drop just a little. "I don't like swimming, period. It's just not my thing."

Or its because I nearly drowned several years back due to stupid teenage boys faking a joke too far...

I kept my lips clamped shut from releasing too much information to the group of friends before me. I glance to Mira, a friend of mine who knew me inside and out. Surprisingly, even knowing that little secret, she too was here to convince me to go on this 'trip'. A water park trip.

My boyfriend was clueless to the last memory. Nor did I wish for him to think that such a thing was taking over me. He pouts down at me, long black hair covering his eyes as he tilted his head. "But baby," he whines. "I had planned this whole day for us!"

Mira, feeling a tad bit of sympathy for me, tsks at Hyunjin. "If you plan a day for your girlfriend, the least you could do is know what she does and doesn't like." Even saying this and getting mocked by my boyfriend, she turns to me. "Ae-ra please!"

I sigh, pursing my lips. "Why is it that no one asked what I wanted to do for my birthday?" I look among the group of people, ten pairs of eyes gazing expectantly back at me. A few had softened, allowing me to figure out who else was guilty of this plan. I pointed to Mira first. "And you! You of all people should know I hate swimming!"

Caving, she drops her swim toys onto my living room floor. Immediately her arm wraps around my own. "My darling Ae-ra! It's time for you to relax, enjoy this time!"

It had been quite a stressful month for me. A lot of business at work at me on my toes everyday day for hours on end. My body was starting to slow down from having to race everywhere. Mira was right about me needing to relax, but I just didn't see this being the right path to do so.

With a few more words of convincing, the whole crew bounds outside of my house and into the cars they came in. Hyunjin follows me around the house as I gather clothes and materials needed. But when I grab an umbrella, his hand overlaps my own.

He grins. "We won't need it babe. It's not outside!"

I paused, noticing just how happy he was to surprise me with this day. And no matter how much I disliked swimming, I couldn't get myself to completely deny his gift. It seemed he really tried hard for it. So I nodded to him before heading out the door and locking up for what I didn't know would be hours.

Standing before me was a large inside water park. The places varied in different activities, causing a few of my friends' heads to explode. Especially Mira, who tugged onto her boyfriends arm. "Binnie, darling! Look at that it's a large bucket!"

My eyes follow to the direction she pointed. Above our heads, several yards into the air hung an enormous buckey. A pipe curled about it, allowing water to trinkle into the bucket. It seemed harmless enough, as long as I never went near it incase the bucket fell.

A loud chime had sounded throughout the noisy waterpark. Mira couldn't contain her excitment. "Baby, baby! Let's go! It's gonna drop!"

What's gonna drop??!

My eyes widen as I fell myself get tugged towards the same place Mira took off running to. I couldn't get a word out as I was placed underneath the large bucket. My eyes never left it, watching it slowly turn towards us. A loud metal clicking sound filled my ears ad I watch in horror, waiting for the water to pour over us.

Before it did though, Hyunjin yanked at my arm a bit and tucked me into his side, drawing my attention away from it. A few minutes later, pounds and pounds of water swarmed all over us, causing me to gasp in surprise. It was over in a flash, causing me to laugh at the shock I was given.
