I stared at the mug in front of me, wishing that I could reach out and take a small sip of it's contents. However, I would soon find myself in a dilemma if I tried to. Even though my focus was on the drink, I could feel the intensity of eyes burning in the side of my head that I desperately wanted to ignore.
"Don't do it."
I bit my lip. "He won't know."
"He will."
"Who won't know what?" A familiar voice interupted my arguement. I lifted my head from the cup to face Sanha as he walked into the studio room. He looked into the mug and frowned. "Is that coffee?"
I pulled back from the table in guilt. "No, not coffee."
He smiled brightly, pointing up a finger. "Ah! It's hot chocolate. Thanks babe," he acknowledged me before reaching down and grabbing the mug.
"No, wait Sanha! That's mine!"
He sipped the drink, making a small face for a brief moment before taking a large swig. "Its a bit bitter, but its okay!" He looked towards me with a grin. "Thank you for making me it."
I watched him with distaste as he waddled closer to me. Sanha bent down to my height and puffed out his cheeks, forcing me to smile at him. "Cute," I responded lightly, bringing my hand up to his face. "But you aren't completely forgiven. Go finish up your work, please."
As Sanha left, the man who's eyes were of a hawk's, stood to his feet and clicked his tongue. "You should have told him it was coffee. Now he will be hyper."
I glared at Eun Woo. "Hush. I just never got the opportunity."
He nodded. "Sanha gave his charm."
It barely took a minute before the energy sunk into it's prey and Sanha came running back. His cheeks were more rosy and his eyes had widened immensely during the short period of time. His attention landed on me and he grinned.
"Let's go to the mall!"
I furrowed my eyebrows, surprised he suggested something so simple. "The mall?"
Sanha shook his head. "Mhh, no. Let's go to the beach!"
Eun woo sighed. "We already did that."
"The park?!" Sanha didn't seem less enthusiastic as we denied his ideas. He just kept spewing out words until we agreed to something. "Amusement park?! That would be cool! And we can get matching shirts-"
"Sanha, baby! Calm down for a minute," I cut him off. "You drank too much sugar."
He took a moment to think, pursing his lips in the air for a dramatic expression. "I don't remember having sugar." He shook his head. "Let's go! I wanna get there now before it closes!"
Eun Woo looked to me. "This is why you can't have coffee here. I told you this is how he acts." He pointed at Sanha. "You have to take care of him now."
My eyes never left Sanha as I tried to bring down his energy. "I didn't know he would be like this!" I watched my boyfriend climb onto the office chair and squat down, puffing his cheeks and making noises. "I thought he would just be happy and loud."
"Quack quack," Sanha laughed, ignoring Eun Woo and I as we argued. "I'm a duck, babe! Quack quack."
"Yes, you are a duck. But that's not the point." I finally tore my eyes away from the small child and desperately looked to his friend. "What can I do to make him calm?"
He shrugged. "I dunno. Whatever you do though, don't yell at him. Although he will be calmer, you'll only make the usual Sanha sad."
I frowned, imagining a disappointed and regretful Yoon Sanha. My heart ached at the thought of seeing his face form something other than expressions of happiness. I couldn't bear seeing him look like a lost and sad child.
"Got it." I sighed, trying to erase the image. "Now what? Take him to the amusement park?"
"I guess so."
I nodded, standing from my chair to walk over towards Sanha. He saw my sudden movements and stopped his playing. His eyes fluttered as he looked up to me, smiling brightly. "Hi," he whispered.
I gave a small smile back. "You wanna go?"
He nodded his head rapidly, but didn't move from his chair. "You're pretty."
I felt my cheeks burn in embarrassment as Sanha stared up at me. "Stop it, you sound like a little boy."
Sanha stood to his feet, towering over me because of his long legs. His hands suddenly cupped around my warm cheeks and he leaned closer. "But you are. You are so gorgeous."
I bit my lip to fight my smile. "I got it the first time."
He grinned, pushing my cheeks together before kissing my pouty lips. "Lets go!" He cheered, excitedly leaving the room.
Turning towards the table, I made sure to keep my head down to hide my pink cheeks as I grabbed the car keys. I barely made it out of the studio when I almost choked on laughter.
"Where's my little princess? Ah! I found you MJ!"
"Sanha!" I called, attempting to hold back laughter. "Leave them alone!"
Sanha screamed in shock as he heard my slightly threatening voice down the hall from him.
"No more coffee for you," I mumbled under my breath, chuckling lightly while shaking my head.
