"You two are considered 'goals' according to fans, how does that feel?"
The beautiful and small woman giggled lightly at the comment and turned to her boyfriend who wore a similar, bright smile. "That is definitely not something we are use to," she voiced, eyes twinkling. "It's cute."
Naya watched the couple on the television screen with droopy eyes. It was her normal schedule to get up early morning and prepare for work, but it didn't seem like her body appreciated it. More so, by gluing her eyes to the tv, she was bringing her focus away from the now soggy cereal left in her bowl.
She sighed heavily, the yearn for being there beside that man was quite evident. He played on her television nearly everyday, and now with his girlfriend in the picture, it didn't help her want him less. To watch him be such a kind, sweet boyfriend was making it harder for her not to love him.
But he was an idol. Someone, whom according to others, was far out of her reach. And the moment she found out about him finding a girlfriend, she vowed to not be a terrible fan and to support him. It was the least she could do.
As Naya took care of the bowl, her stomach nauseous at the sight of the food, the tv screen flickered to the beautiful woman again. The cameras caught sight of a golden bracelet strapped firmly to her wrists and the interviewer questioned such an antique jewelry choice. But Naya quickly turned off the screen and headed out the door for the day, not noticing the similarities between her necklace and the one just aired by her idol's girlfriend.
The day was seemingly off. Naya noted shortly that the crowd of people was less calm then usual, everyone having to be somewhere quickly. Typically at an early morning hour, no one was out and about so freely. Even the clouds were rustling above her.
"It's going to storm," Naya mumbles to herself, jogging across the street to the sidewalk. She tugged her dark red jacket over her head, rushing to move past everyone and hurriedly get to work. Her purse was secure within her unzipped coat after the one previous incident of it being nearly stolen.
With a quick glance to the side, she checks the traffic lights for her permission to go. With everyone slowly starting to shift forward, she didn't bother to check for incoming cars, assuming people we're already trying to cross. She pushed through some of the people, hugging her purse as she dashes across the street once more, almost to her destination.
The rain suddenly started to pour down, large drops plopping on Naya's head. It began to fall, loud and hard, drowning out the sound of car wheels coming up fast beside her. Trying not to waste time by looking, Naya pushed herself forward to cross quickly. Yet, in the midst of doing so, the car upon seeing her, swerved. The rain caused the tires to slip, and due to the panic arising within, the driver hit the gas instead of the breaks.
Naya felt the presence of the car too late. Though the car had slowed down previously, it's speed increased at the sudden jerk of the driver. The corner of the car pushed Naya to the ground, firmly knocking the girl out as the vehicle slides past. Immediately it collides with the large silver pole a few feet away from Naya.
The driver slammed forward from the impact, her head instantly hitting the sterring wheel with great force. Her eyes slammed closed from the impact, leaving both girls unconscious as they lied helplessly alone.
As people began to crowd around the scene, the storm continued to roll in. It's fierce strikes of lightening coming down too close for comfort. As some bystanders wished to stay, the dangers of doing so was too high. People slowly began to leave until only a few were left over, waiting for the ambulance to come and help.
Angered by the occurrences, the storm grew stronger. And within the few minutes of the accident, it became a wide spread happening. Citizens all over began to rush for safety, confusion and fear emitting off them. As the winds picked up, it created a force that pushed away the incoming ambulance and scared off the bystanders wishing to help. With one last strike near Naya, the change finally begun.
