YOU BREATHE HEAVILY AS BOTH YOU AND TANJIRO LIMP YOUR WAY BACK TO THE BUTTERFLY ESTATE.
the sun was shining down on you, providing a comforting warmth.
nezuko scratches on her box worriedly, tanjiro smiles, "it's all right, nezuko. we'll reach butterfly mansion soon"
you pause, seeing a very familiar figure in the distance.
tanjiro also stops.
your lips part.
standing by the entrance of the butterfly estate was a very angry haganezuka.
he had his usual mask on, except this time his hair wasn't covered by the white cloth. it was a nice black and was fairly long. his shirt was slightly open, revealing his surprisingly toned muscles.
strapped around his head was two glimmering knives, along with another two in his hands.
you blink in shock, "you little fools! what's wrong with you both, losing your swords?! that deserves death! death!"
you gasp quietly as he starts chasing after you both with both arms raised.
"we're sorry! we're sorry!" tanjiro screams as you both make a mad dash away from haganezuka.
"we're really, really sorry!!"
haganezuka chased you both around until nearly dawn. up and down trees, running laps around the small area. you were sure he nearly chopped down a tree at some point.
aoi had finally come out and brought you both inside, leaving you both exhausted.

"HE SAYS THAT THEY GOT CHASED BY HAGANEZUKA UNTIL CLOSE TO DAYBREAK"
you look down at your plate of food tiredly, neither you nor tanjiro had touched your food.
"so that's why you both aren't eating?" inosuke had his boar mask sitting on top of his head as he was sloppily chewing in his food like usual.
inosuke snatched both of your plates, munching them up hungrily.
"if aoi hadn't calmed him down for us, he would've kept chasing us until noon" tanjiro says exasperatedly.
aoi rolls over a tray holding more food, "would anyone like seconds?"
"gimme!" inosuke shouts, you smile slightly, happy to be back to the usual loudness.
"aoi, thank you for yesterday. you too, sumi, kiyo and naho" tanjiro smiles thankfully, you nod along.
"don't mention it, it was nothing" aoi scoops inosuke another bowl of rice.
"what's haganezuka up to now?" zenitsu asks.
"haganezuka? oh, he's sitting in the veranda, eating rice dumplings.
"and it seems like he's finally back in a good mood!"
"thank goodness"
"rice dumplings are haganezuka favourite food!" sumi says happily.
"next time he starts fuming, you shoukd buy him some"
you mentally take note of that.
"i want to have some, too!" insouke shouts through a mouth-full of food.
aoi smiles, "fine, i'll go get you some later, alright?"
