Chapter 37 - Purple Eyes

A chilly night came and half of the knights were taking a rest and half were on guard. They will take turns guarding the camp every 5 hours as Kao ordered. Kao is presently in the Baron estate collecting more information about the plague and planning for tomorrow's investigation at the graveyard. Him and Suppasit are suspecting that the werewolves have something to do with the plague after seeing the baby werewolf abandoned outside the village.

As Kao interrogates the Baron, Kana and Suppasit are already laying on the cramped tent. It only accommodates one person so the two were lying so close with the child in the middle of them.

"Are you asleep?" Kana asks the knight.

The tent is dark and the only light they have is the lights from outside the tent that comes from the bonfire. They could see the knights passing by and patrolling their area.

"Not yet, thanks to you." Kana bit his lips and pulled the blanket up to his forehead.

"I already said I'm sorry. If I don't do that you won't let go of the child." he explained his side.

"What a lame excuse." is what the knight mumbled to himself in return.

He lived for more than a century and it's normal that he already has his first kiss and he already slept with women, which is just a couple of times during his worst rut but never have he experienced kissing a man so he was so fazed by it.

'Speaking of rut...why did I sleep with different women before? I despise vampires and I should never experience a rut unless I have a mate. That was the upbringing of a mixed breed werewolf. So have I ever had a mate? Or are my memories playing with me?'

Upon thinking about his rut, Suppasit's head ached. It was the same pain when he first met Kaiser.

He groaned and Kana quickly checked up on him.

"What's wrong?" he lied on his side and reached for Suppasit's head that the other was pulling hard while in pain.

"N-Nothing."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, maybe I'm just blood deprived." the knight lied.

Kana without any hesitation offered his hand to him.

"You can bite me to satisfy your hunger and my blood cures diseases too, it will help you a lot." Suppasit swallowed and diverted his eyes from Kana's wrist. In spite of the fact he is tempted, he shook his head and pushed Kana's hand away to refuse.

"I'm fine. Go back to sleep."

He couldn't bear to smell his blood again because in the afternoon, when Supapsit smelled Kana's blood, his body moved on its own and teleported to him as if he had been doing it for a long time. The second he saw his blood dripping, his first reaction was to protect him from other people. Same thing happened during the hunting period when he first smelled his blood, fortunately he had Draco monitoring Kana so it was easy for Suppasit to find him in that vast island.

It was a strange feeling for the knight, since they first met, he has done a lot of things that were unusual for him.

"Just drink it, you've used your ability earlier and teleported each one of us a lot of times so everyone can arrive without any delay. It must be tiring for you so go on and bite me." Kana refused to be pushed away too and shoved his hand on Suppasit's mouth.

The knight then grabbed his wrist and looked intimidatingly at Kana.

"Do you know I don't drink on wrists? I prefer to bite someone's neck. Will you still allow me then?" He only said it so Kana would be intimidated and give up but the latter didn't mind and pulled his robe to the side so Suppasit could have access to his neck.
