As what Suppasit and Kana agreed last night, the two went to inspect the graveyard outside of the walled village.
It has been locked and they borrowed the key from the baron to have access to the suspected site. After they unlocked the chains, Suppasit opened the wooden gate and was bewildered with what he saw.
The graves are dug up and empty. There were about hundreds of tombstones in total and each of them were all dug up. Kana wanted to peek since Suppasit was in front and blocking his sight but Suppasit raised his arm to stop him from getting inside. Kana was left confused, known as stubborn, he grabbed his arm to lower it so he could see what he was hiding from him.
There, he saw the familiar view.
"That...I saw that at the hunting event, the gravesite was also dug up..near the ruined castle." he told the knight before backing away. Suppasit was intrigued with his experience and asked more about it. That was the time Kana talked about his nightmare last night which the knight believed that it's a warning from his race.
Once they locked the graveyard again, he ordered one of the Wistal Knight to send a letter to the Emperor and asked him to check all the graveyards of werewolves. Kao was also informed of what they discovered. No one dared to talk about it aside from their troop, they don't want everyone to panic and cause more uneasiness within the village especially now that they feel safe as everyone is recovering from the plague.
Not long after they had sent the letter, a messenger bird arrived from the palace. They are at the facility, sitting on the first floor and the letter arrived when they were checking all the patients that were recuperating. Kana is sitting beside his brother on a couch while Suppasit is standing behind them. They all opened the letter to read its content. The emperor says that the plague is starting to spread up to the capital of the Human Kingdom, and all the borders have been closed and the whole Empire was on lock down as the plague is spreading fast. It has been only a week since they got a report of the plague but almost the entire continent of the Humans have been infected and it seems like a few more days and it will reach the Kingdom of Vampires too.
So the Emperor commanded that they were tasked to visit every city to cure all victims. They are required to split into three, a group under Kao, Suppasit and Kana. He assured them that he will send out more knights to accompany them, as well as Apo and Great to lead the othe groups. As expected, Suppasit and Kao were enraged. How could they leave Kana all alone? He just became the lord of Wistal not long ago. Moreover he never ventured outside the village he was born in, what more if he's gonna visit all the cities in the kingdom. But they couldn't do anything about it since it was a Royal Decree and a lot of lives of humans depend on them.
"What are we going to do now?" Kana asks the two who were both frowning upon reading the letter.
"How about you? Do you want to give your blood to other people? You know our father never liked the fact that you are being exploited. You know what happened to...your mother." Kao whispered the last words to Kana, afraid that Suppasit would be curious about the identity of Kana's mother. They are already lucky enough since Suppasit never questioned how his blood cures the plague and it never crossed the knight's mind that Nattarin and him are related to each other.
But Suppasit didn't pay much attention to them, he was lost in his own thoughts while staring at the letter Kana was holding.
The knight was concerned whether he could leave Kana alone. Before, once his brother the emperor gave a mission to him, he would respect it and do what he was assigned to do. After all, he passed the throne to him and he knows his brother was good at his job. Though sometimes he does whatever he wants. But right now, he's having a second thought.
