“Where’s Kaiser?” Kao asked the knight that was guarding his tent. The knight spoke in a low voice, anxiously glancing at Suppast that was in a bad mood.

“L-Lord..there’s a problem.”

Alarmed, Suppasit slid the tent’s flap open to enter.

The two knights stood frozen with the sight of Kana holding a furry infant in his arms while sitting on the thin soft cotton mattress laid on the floor, looking up to them with shaking eyes.

“B-Brother…what should we do? I found this earlier while picking up fruits..” he says sweating a bucket.

Kao immediately entered and closed the tent.

Good thing Wistal knights know the allegiance of werewolves with the Wistals and the Emperor. Because if they didn’t, the werewolf would have been slain in an instant. There’s still a decree that if someone sees a werewolf, it should be killed without any remorse. That decree is not yet  abolished so up to this day, the mixed breeds werewolves with human blood are blending in with the humans while those who are half-vampires are working as royal knights under the command of Alexander to survive and hide their identities.

The imperial knights on the other hand consists of pure blooded vampires from different noble families, the difference with the royal knights aside from being mixed breed which only Alexander knew is royal knights accept commoners with great swordsmanship skills therefore it was easy for him to recruit mixed breed werewolves. They are stronger than an average human so it’s no wonder they could enter the knighthood without much issues.

“Did you report it to the emperor?” Kao asked as he approached his brother, Suppasit followed him.

“Y-Yeah, I asked the knight from outside to send a messenger bird to the emperor.”

“You didn’t see its mother?”

“No. It was alone in the forest.”

Kao slumped down on the floor and slapped his forehead.

“You left the tent?? How many times did I say that you shouldn’t be wandering without us? Can't you do what people are telling you for once? Just how many times should you be in danger from ignoring our advice?”

Kana lowered his head in shame. Kao only wanted the best for his brother, he didn’t mean to sound mean but he must so Kana would finally follow their reminders for his own safety.

“I apologize…I won’t do it again..”

“Please, please think of the consequences of your action before doing anything. We don’t know yet the cause of the plague, there are still wild demons from last time you fell off the carriage, our grandfather escaped and we don’t know what he’s conspiring these days. Don’t you get it? There’s so much threats that is surrounding you-”

“What do you mean by wild demons? He was attacked by those creatures? What are they?” Kao stopped his sermon with Suppasit sudden curiosity. He had no memories of wild demons because all the days he was with Kana were erased and thus he had no recollection of those creatures.

“I-It was…It was when our father found him. Y-You know Arzonia was full of demons a few months ago, there were wild demons that the Southern King made using black magic. It replicates whenever it’s cut into half. He was a mercenary who kills demons to sell their flesh in the black market. The wild demons attacked them and that’s where he found and saved Kaiser…in Arzonia. ” Kao made up a story on the spot and Suppasit believed him.

"U...Uaah” The three startled with the pup's whimper. It was groping Kana’s chest with its eyes closed and burying its face to find where to suck on. Because he was just wearing a robe and nothing underneath it, the werewolf pulled down the shawl collar and found his nipple.
