Chapter 57 Coronation Night

Towns are bustling and are having a festive season in both of the Kingdom.

There are no more infected people, all are completely recovered and so was Kana.

People are back to normal as if war didn't happen a month ago. This is all because everyone is celebrating the enthronement of Alexander three days from now on and to celebrate the new Era of the empire. Every single village, town and cities, all of it are having festivals for the whole week like during the foundation day.

In a famous boutique in the capital of the Human Kingdom, there's Kana with Suppasit, shopping for their suit that they will wear at the banquet of Alexander's coronation night.

There's a lot of people outside the boutique wishing to have a glimpse of the former emperor and his rumored lover who's soon to be the crowned prince of the Human Kingdom. Kana hasn't been officially announced that he'll be the crowned prince but knowing he is older than Kao, he'll most likely be in the next line of the throne.

And speaking of the flying rumors that he's the secret lover of the former Emperor, it started with the maids and butlers of the Wistal Residence. During their day offs from their work, they usually go to the capital, or taverns to enjoy their rest days and when they get drunk or they gossips with their friends and families, the story of the former emperor, living in the Wistal Residence and taking care of the Lord of the house began to spread like wildfire across the empire.

But the two weren't really hiding their relationship and they don't intend to do so. And it wasn't even really a rumor, because the news about the new emperor considering passing a law that allows same sex marriage, proves that there's really something going between the two.

It was like more of a fact that everyone is afraid to talk about openly.

"That looks better."

Suppasit crosses his legs and rubs his chin while gazing at Kana from head to toe wearing a blue vested suit. Wistals are known for their family's blue crest and flags so Kana chose to wear blue while Suppasit will choose the same design as his lover but in red tone which signifies their imperial family's bloodline.

Kana scratches his cheeks as Suppasit stares at him after getting out of the fitting room which the two fought over for quite a while because the knight wanted him to be the one to help him dress up and not the boutiques' staff but given that Kana is embarrassed displaying their affection in public, he persuaded the knight to stay in the couch and wait for him instead or else, they won't be sleeping together tonight.

"Will this do? I'm tired already. Can we go back now?"

Kana sighs but Suppasit prepared more suits for him to try on while he was in the fitting room.

"Not yet. Try more." Suppasit stood up from his seat and grabbed a royal blue suit from the clothes' rack beside him.

Kana's face darkens and sighed in resignation again. He can't refuse him since today is supposed to be their date. Suppasit prepared a lot for this day and he also tried his best to get Alexander's permission for them to go out.

Aside from Suppasit, Alexander became more protective with Kana that there are actually 20 imperial knights as their escorts, 10 shadows and even 10 Wistal Knights who are disguising as civilians that are on the lookout to protect them. And this time, these guards aren't mid-tier but the best among the Imperial knights, Wistal Knights and the assassins.

Draco is even accompanying them which is one of other reasons why there's a lot of people outside. Draco became the famous familiar that destroyed the Demon Kingdom, probably having the same popularity of Alexander in the Human Kingdom.
