Chapter 44 Border Attack

"Your highness, Commander Alexander sent bottles of raw blood to us and could be great help to you if you're in a dire situation."

The messenger is holding a basket as they fly towards the border. The emperor didn't have time to hear all the reports from him so they are doing it while they are on their way.

"What kind of blood is this?" he asks, grabbing the bottle to check the content of it.

"They said it was from Lord Kaiser..."

"Then hold it for me. Don't you dare drop it." he returned the bottle carefully upon knowing how important it is.

Why would Alexander give this to me? It's risky, what if someone opens the bottle and the smell of Kaiser's blood spreads? There's a lot of pure vampires in the castle, didn't he forget that?

"Suppasit!"

From afar, he saw his twin fighting with the demons while riding his familiar, a horse with wings. Mew instantly noticed that the demons are the same species from that night.

"Don't cut them! They'll duplicate more!"

"Then what should I do?!"

"I don't know! burn them?!"

The emperor also used his elemental abilities and assisted the knights, but the demons kept on duplicating. 

Their abilities were useless.

"Ah! No!"

At his side, he saw the messenger being attacked and dropped the basket where the bottles were kept. He tried to descend and catch it but demons flocked around him, blocking his view.

He looked at the falling basket while burning the demons and shouted at Suppasit to catch it instead but his twin was too preoccupied with demons also.

The basket finally dropped on the top of the border wall and the bottles shattered into pieces.

As soon as it landed on top, the scent of Kana's started to spread. Pure blooded vampire knights froze and their attention diverted to where the bottle had fallen.

And soon, the demons acted strangely too and plunged in there also.

Everyone except Suppasit and him pinching their noses, watched everyone go insane and flew towards the broken bottles.

"That scent...that's Kaiser's.." Suppasit gritted his teeth.

But then ungritted it when the demons suddenly vanished after they touched the blood splattered on top of the wall.

The twins exchange glances and when all the demons are gone, Mew freezes the blood to stop the scent from spreading. Surprisingly to those vampires that rushed on the wall, wasn't affected because they weren't able to taste them.
