Chapter 25 New Identity

Alexander's jaw hardened when Leo showed a malicious look on his son. Leo and Luna were assigned to be the leader's tribe when Suppasit sent away Lucy to watch over Kana. And since Kana is with the Supapsit already, naturally she would go home to Arzonia to get her position back that led Leo and Luna powerless again within their tribe.

Before, the two didn't want to be the leader but once a person tasted power, they got greedy for more.

Leo wasn't that happy when Lucy came back, and he sees Kana as the reason why his power was stripped away.

"Get out." Alexander breathed out.

"What's the rush? I wanna look at the face who made that guy insane again." Leo persisted to come inside but Theobalt, who was guarding the door, used his body to refrain him from taking another step.

"Move aside." Leo glared at him but he wasn't fazed by it and remained stoic. There was a heavy atmosphere in the tent so Kana got nervous once again. Alexander felt his uneasiness therefore he was the one who proceeded towards Leo and lifted him up by his collar.

"What the hell?! Let go of me!" The man flails as he grabs Alexander's arms to unhand him. They left the tent and he came back alone after a short while.

"Theobalt, get Grey this instant. Two of you will be guarding him from now on and the healer could go now too. I'll ask for his presence later."

The messenger nods and he exits with the healer. Theobalt searched for Alexander's brother and once the four of them were left alone, Alexander combed his hair, sighing.

"Lucy. Tell my son everything from the time you found him. I want to know everything you know about him also. Don't think of leaving any small details from his life to me."

Lucy wasn't able to say no.

She recounted the first day she saw him and his life in the orphanage.

Back then, Suppasit gave him a mana stone that contained an ability to remove one's memory. He told her to erase Kana's childhood memories and since she has the ability to see all those memories too while erasing them she narrated what was his life before Suppasit found him in the forest. Alexander was obviously shocked with the surprising fact of his birth, which proved more of the possibility that Kana is indeed his son.

"Do you still have that mana stone?" Lucy reluctantly shakes her head with his question.

"The secretary has it."

"Then let's get it and when we do, you'll have to erase everyone's memories of Kana."

"What?! Are you serious?"

"I'm dead serious Lucy."

"But why? Do you know using that amount of power could lead me to my death?" the old woman glares. She really doesn't know what the commander was thinking for the past few days. He's been on the edge since his son arrived and been irrational since then.

"It's simple. He almost died  because he was targeted for being the Empress. If we go according to our scheme of killing all the vampires, they will search for the emperor's weakness and the first thing they'll think of is my son. I don't want him to be in danger once more, Lucy. I don't plan on losing someone special to me again. You know how I feel, you once did something absurd to protect Mew and I did you a favor that made him and you immortal. Don't ever forget that."

Lucy clenches his fist with Alexander's guilt tripping words.

Of course she would never forget that favor, the day before the twins switched their roles and Suppasit forcing Mew to use a mana stone to brainwash the entire world. Anyone would die if they ever did that but Suppasit was too inhumane to care for other people other than himself. The concerned woman asked Alexander if he could give her the former sacred fruit's pills that they had retrieved from his father and brother's factory.
