Chapter 10 Wild Demons

"Why is Sir Great riding with us, your highness?" Kana asks as he strokes Suppasit's perked ears. Great thoroughly scanned the wolf in front of him, he's dazed as to why a beast was cuddling with the Empress but his curiosity was answered upon hearing the Emperor's following words.

"That's because he has to teleport with Suppasit."

"Then how about us?" Kana paused from touching the wolf's ear and asked which the Emperor answered with a serious expression while Great was left goggle-eyed by his side.

"Sadly we can't go with them. His power cannot be controlled accurately so it would be dangerous if you accidentally teleport with them somewhere else which could lead you to be taken away and him to be slaughtered. We can never put the both of you at risk."

After making such a decision that would be the best for them, Great was sent away to protect Suppasit. If they ever faced any peril after failing to teleport inside the palace, he can clone himself and single handedly fight their enemies.

"But I saw him teleporting in my room in his beast form when Lady Mild attacked me." Kana subconsciously forgot to hide the fact that he remembers that night nonetheless the Emperor saw it coming. He had a hunch that his power doesn't affect him for unknown reasons and he will ask Earth to investigate it once they get back.

"Did the Empress just say that wolf....was there when Lady Nara died?" Great butted in and straightened up his back as his mind processed the information he just heard. His eyes went wide again and he snapped his fingers after coming up with a conclusion.

"Your highness! He might be the one who killed Lady Lily's lady in waiting!" he pointed at Suppasit like he solved a criminal case by himself not knowing both of them already knew about it.

A long silence filled the carriage.

"Yes he did." just like that, the emperor composedly replied like it wasn't a big deal to be catching the murder that have been yet to be captured by the royal knights.

"And? What are we going to do about him? Suppasit is a werewolf and a murderer, your highness, we need to seize him." Enraged, Great was about to pull out his sword until he realized ".....Hang on....if he's a werewolf...then...your highness...you too is also.." his quivering eyes slowly landed at the Emperor whose legs are crossed and staring back at him.

"Carry on, finish what you are about to say." It sounded like he was threatening the knight so the latter swallowed nervously and fixed his sword back into the scabbard.

"I...."

"I have nothing to say...your highness."

"Good. We will have a meeting after we return so till then, protect my brother and hide him in the basement."

The two left by teleporting, Suppasit was rethinking if it's safe to leave his mate behind but he agrees to the Emperor's resolve. He wouldn't want to put Kana in a dangerous situation too where he cannot protect him due to the fact that he can't use his elemental abilities if he's in his beast form.

"Are you shocked?" The Emperor asks after they are gone.

"N-Not really. Perhaps it's because the truth sunk in to me after that night."

"Then you're not gonna ask me anything? Like how did we survive?" Kana's eyes stayed focused on his fidgety hands on his knees and was afraid to lift his head up with his question.

Of course I am but I'm not in the place to be curious about it.

".......N-No your majesty, you probably have your own reason and I respect that." he says, a total opposite of what is in his mind.
