Chapter 10

She is Jo. I'm sure.

She is here in front of me and I am staring at her motionless, as if time has suddenly stopped.

"Jo ..." Her name comes out almost in a whisper, like a sound carried by the wind...
I can't say anything, I didn't expect to find her here so suddenly.

"It's her ..." Alex whispers to me

I turn and look at him in shock, still unable to think of anything sensible to say or do.

"Come on! Looks like you've seen a ghost!" He smiles and gestures for me to come forward.

She jumps and dances, oblivious to the fact that I'm right back here and for a moment I enjoy the scene in front of me.

It's all dark around us and the only lights that light up intermittently are the ones that come from the stage.

"Hero?!?"
A voice brings me back to reality and I turn slightly towards the tall, brunette and smiling girl who is looking at me.

"Mia!!!" I don't have time to say hello as she literally jumps on me in a hug.

"How nice to see you !!! What a surprise !!!" She laughs looking at Alex next to me "I didn't expect it !!!"

Jo turns around, as if in slow motion, and I see her stop and look at me as if she had actually seen a ghost!
She gasps without saying a word with wide eyes.
I try to recover the reason to find something to say, but my brain is completely on tilt.

"Hero?" She stands still in front of me and I can't help but notice these beautiful blue eyes that scan me to try to understand if it's really me.

"Hey..." I put a hand through my hair, trying to breathe.
Fuck how beautiful she is!

She has a dark sweatshirt, shorts and a hat on her head.
It's the hat I gave her during the movie shoot.
She still has it..
The heart goes about its business in my chest and to me it feels like living a scene from a science fiction movie!
Time is continuing to flow or does it just seem to me that everything has stopped?!?

"What are you doing here?!?" She exclaims taking me by surprise.
That wasn't exactly the reaction I was expecting, I have to admit.

We haven't seen each other for months, I don't even know when exactly!
Filming for the second film ended a long time ago.
This is the first time we've seen each other live and the only thing she says to me is this?

Of course, always better than mine -Ehy- I have to admit.

"Surprise!" I smile and I don't know whether to hug her or not, since she has remained motionless while our friends are watching us curiously.

"I ..." She turns to Mia with an almost terrified look "Hi!" She looks at me again "I ... I need to go... I'll go for a minute, okay?" She looks at Mia taking her arm and dragging her.

"Hey! are you crazy?" I hear Mia moan as they walk away from us, towards who knows where.

I remain like a fool looking around me.
"What just happened?" I turn to Alex

"I would say you just broke the time record for letting a girl escape, man." He bursts out laughing and puts his arm on my shoulders "What are you doing to women?"

I know he's trying to play down, but I don't understand anything anymore.

"She ran away..." I say more to myself than to anyone in particular.

"Apparently ... You'll see, she'll be back anyway!" Try to reassure me Alex

"Hey guys, Morgz said that the concert Is best seen if we go to the front rows, there are fewer people ... Are you coming?"
Felix comes out of nowhere with a glass in his hand
"Did I miss something?" He asks worried as soon as he sees my face and Alex briefly summarizes what just happened...
