Josephine

I know this blonde girl, with her stunning physique and a dress that leaves little to the imagination!

She was with us for weeks during After's promotional tour and didn't miss a chance to fight with Hero every day, as well as throwing acid barbs at me as soon as she could.

What's boiling inside me though is the fact that she came between us in a sneaky and underhand way, sending me messages from Hero telling me that he didn't love me anymore and that he didn't want to hear from me.

I, as a fool, even believed it!

But who could have imagined that she was behind all this?

She, who is now a few steps away from me and has an indecipherable smile on her face.

She, who has tried to win Hero back in every way, calling him insistently and I assume also following him to parties like this one whenever he comes home in London.

I'm not stupid, I can see that his mobile phone lights up every now and then and Ella's name appears!

Hero however never answers, he huffs and plays the answering machine.
He doesn't read her messages and files them as soon as one comes in, not caring that I can still read the preview.

I know he's not hiding anything from me, I feel calm and I think he's just as annoyed by this girl as I am.

I don't even understand what the point is of continuing to pursue someone who has clearly told you that he doesn't want to be with you!
That's self-destructive!

"Look who shows up after a long time!!!" Exclaims a little too loudly, Mrs Mussel!

That's what I'll call her from now on: Mrs. Mussel!

Yet at first glance, you wouldn't call her an ass-kicker of this magnitude.
She seems like a nice, polite girl with whom anyone could get along.
Instead...

Hero rolls his eyes and sighs.
He takes my hand and looks at me, silently asking me if everything is okay.
I smile at him in reply: everything is great!

She greets her friends with a peck on the cheek, all very fake and not very affectionate to tell the truth.
There is something forced in these girls' gestures.
I feel a little under the spotlight but I try not to pay too much attention: I knew this day would come!

I hear Hero sigh again and I approach him reassuringly with my gaze, while he passes an arm around my shoulders protectively.

There's nothing to be afraid of, they're just a small group of girls curious about who I am and why I'm there.

"You and I know each other!" A girl emerges from the group and smiles sincerely at me.

"I can't believe it!" I burst out laughing.

Hero looks at us questioningly.

"It's the girl from the bakery!" I tell him pointing at her "I went to her this morning!"

He laughs amused "Right! I forgot to tell you that Jiada works there!"

She approaches and holds out her hand to me "Let's introduce ourselves officially then! Nice to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you too!" I shake her hand smiling.

"I hope you all enjoyed the sweets this morning!" She alternates her gaze between Hero and me.

"Felix was the most enthusiastic!" We all burst out laughing "He devoured everything in ten seconds! We were lucky he left us anything!"

I have to stop judging people without knowing them.
I assumed that all Mrs. Mussel's friends were like her, I was actually dead wrong!
