Chapter 58

Hero

"Did you get everything?"
I check I haven't left anything in the hotel room and head for the lift.

Jo and I have been on the phone for over an hour now, trying to get everything we need for our trip to London, as well as laughing and joking as always.
In fact, we're in danger of being late as we're getting distracted.

"Only you are missing..." She jokes, lowering her voice in a whisper in the phone.

"I'll see you soon..." I smile.

"And we'll be together a loooong time!" I hear her exclaim happily and I couldn't be happier!
Hearing her laugh carefree is the best thing in the world!

"I have big things in mind..." I whisper, thinking of all the things we could do alone in my house in London.
I sigh as I run a hand through my hair.

"Oh I can imagine!" She giggles "Felix won't be so happy about that, will he?"

Fucking right! Felix is in my house!
It's our house now, actually!

"Did you warn him you're coming back, innit?" She asks almost reading my mind.

"Um... Yes, of course!"

No, he has no idea! He especially has no idea that I'm coming home with Jo!
Oh fuck! I should warn him!

"Hero, hurry up! We're leaving the house now!"

To say I'm excited is an understatement.
It feels like a dream that she agreed to come with me.
To come home with me!

"Mia and I will pick you up in a bit and go to the airport, okay?"

Even though I can't see her face right now, I know she's smiling exactly as I am!
I can't stop smiling!
I called my mum this morning, to warn her that I was coming home much earlier than planned and that I would have a surprise for her.

Jo and I talked about it and although we want to take things slow, I definitely want to introduce her to my mum and Mercy!

The thing that worries me the most will be meeting my chaotic group of friends, I hope they won't scare her too much! They will definitely have crazy stories about me to tell her.

I shake my head laughing at the thought of who knows what anecdotes they will tell her!

I arrive in the hotel lobby, hand over my keys and wait on the sofas for Jo and Mia to pick me up.
We agreed not to be seen together, so they will stay in the car and I will join them just as if I had just called an Uber. Nothing suspicious!

Outside the hotel I caught a glimpse of some fans, and I don't know if I should go now and say hello, or wait until later.
But yes, let's go!
I warn Jo that I'll wait for them outside.

"I'm outside the hotel with some fans!"

"Can't leave you just two minutes, huh?" She laughs "Okay, we're on our way. In five minutes we'll be there!"

"Can't wait..." I smile.

"Don't get too scrambled eh..." She laughs.

"I'll try... Park in front of the café, I'll catch up with you!"

The front door of the hotel opens and I step out to greet the girls who are lurking waiting, who knows how long!

"Hero!!! Oh God!!!" Screams one of them, turning completely red in the face.
I think I'll never get used to this feeling! I'm a very normal guy and having this effect on people is definitely weird, especially since they're people I don't know.
