"I don't want to be friends with you any more..."
She sighs as she takes my hand and looks at me intently "This is huge bullshit and it won't work..."

For a moment I'm afraid she wants to leave me for good.
She e knows I'm leaving in just two days for London and I know perfectly well that her fear of losing me has resurfaced as it always has.
We are like in an endless loop: every time we have to say goodbye, something happens that makes her turn away from me.
I want to be able to break this vicious circle, I don't know how but I must succeed.
There must be a solution, there is always a solution!

'I think so too...' I sigh, looking at the sea.

We are left alone, the others have gone back to the hotel and we are waiting to go out for dinner.
It's early and the restaurant will open in about half an hour.
We are sitting on a bench facing the sea, on the Santa Monica pier.
There are seagulls everywhere and with the sun about to set it's all very romantic, I have to admit.

I was a little hesitant to introduce Jo to my American friends, only because I know how nosy they are and they would surely ask inappropriate questions. Indeed they did, exactly as I imagined.
On the other hand, after an initial attempt to figure out what was going on between me and her, they surrendered to the evidence that it was clear as day that we couldn't take our eyes off each other, no need to even ask what our relationship was.
I love her. I love her like crazy and I can't help but get lost in her eyes or annoyed just to see her laugh in amusement.
I love her laugh and knowing that I can make her happy makes me crazy with joy.

Another thing that drives me crazy, and she knows it, is just how she is dressed today...
Tank top, short skirt and knee-high boots... I literally can't take my eyes off her and it's a huge problem! I can barely concentrate when I talk to her because the only thing I can think of is how I can take it all away from her and make her mine, right now... at this very moment!

This being friends crap doesn't work and I was waiting for her to realise that too... luckily it didn't take long!

"You're leaving for London in two days?" she asks looking into my eyes again and inside I can read the fear that is slowly resurfacing.

I nod. "I need to sort some things out before I leave for Bulgaria..."
Not much really, but I must necessarily return to base...

She sighs and looks again at the sea in front of us.
I put my arm around her shoulders and draw her to me, kissing her head.
I wish I could stay like this forever and...

Stop! I have an idea!

"When will the filming of Moxie end?" I ask full of hope.

She looks at me questioningly and seems to think about it for a moment.

"Tomorrow we have the wrap party..." she hints with a smile "I was going to ask you if you wanted to come with me..."

"Of course I'll go..." I kiss her forehead sighing.

"They asked me to bring a friend..." she smiles "I thought of you..." she looks into my eyes amused.

"You'll see, I won't make you look bad..." I kiss one cheek and she closes her eyes sighing.

"Are you sad?" I run a hand over her cheek. I get the impression she's about to cry for real.

"Um..." she nods and looks down.

"Because the end of the shoot?" I venture, making her laugh.

"No, dummy..." she pats my thigh "It's not about that... I mean I'm sorry to say goodbye to everyone but..."
