"And so Lauren said we'd all go dancing together tonight if we finished filming by 9pm last night ..." I smile at the stupid bets made on set every day as I bite into a slice of bread and jam for breakfast.

Mia is listening to me sleepily as she yawns and sits down on the kitchen table.

"I hear you excited about it!" She smiles "You don't know how much I am pleased to see you so happy ..."

I sigh taking a sip of tea ...
I try hard not to think.
I am totally concentrating on the work and after a week of shooting, I have to say that I am doing it great.

"So are you all going out together tonight?" She asks curiously.

"Yes, you can come with us if you like ..."

"I don't know, can I let you know later? I have some auditions today ..." she takes her cell phone and starts pressing keys absently ...

"Sure! Pat said we're going to Dodgy Lodge, I have no idea what it is but the name is funny ..." I smile looking at my cup.

Mia immediately stops what she was doing to look at me seriously.

"Pat... You mean Patrick?"

"Yes, that's right..." I smile "Now we all call each other with nicknames... Some girls have very difficult names and it's easier that way..."

"Pat..." she repeats almost to herself, looking away.
She's weird this morning.
She is probably still half asleep.

She starts typing on her phone again and I reach out to her to meddle with her business, as always.

"Hey!" She immediately takes her cell phone out of my reach and I stand looking at her interjectedly.

She generally doesn't flinch and lets me read what she is texting.

"Can I know who are you writing to?" I ask curiously.

"What? No!!! Some privacy!"

Now I am even more confused.
"Spicy messages with Alex?" I smile, teasing her.

Alex.
Hero's friend...
My mind begins to make associations it shouldn't make, not anymore!
I shake my head trying to chase the thoughts away.

"What are you saying?" She asks scandalized "How do you come up with that?"

"Effectively, you don't have the usual smirk of when you write to him..." I tease her "Don't tell me that..." I exclaim surprised and she suddenly freezes.

We stand for a while staring at each other in silence....

"Mia, tell me that's not what I'm thinking..."

"It depends..." She says cautiously, "What are you thinking about?"

"No, tell me first what you're up to..."
I articulate the words well.
It can't be.
It's not like her to do such a thing.

"I won't tell you a damn thing..." She blocks the phone and puts it in her pocket.
I keep watching her as she moves nervously.

"What?" She asks after a while.

"Mia..." I sigh

"Jo..." She says in the same tone as me.

"Nothing..." I snort "I didn't think it was so easy to forget someone..."

She remains interjected, continuing to stare at me a silence.
"What do you mean?"

"You're mysterious, you're writing to someone.... How will Alex take it?"
